I wasnt referring to PH. PH is about 20 middled aged blokes and one really old one in a mental home. I actually think this is probably the nicest online footy forum as a group.
I'm talking about the football community as a whole including the media which in this age of clickbait is a reflection of it's audience.
Everybody is desperate to justify their clubs decision to ruin the sport even further by buying instant success that any club who doesnt should be mocked and shamed. We were a team of plucky upstarts that overstayed our welcome and dont know our place. Unlike Leicester.
We have Sissoko. You dont. End of really.

How else do you explain all the vitriol against a club and certain players who haven't won anything? At most we should be a minor irrelevance and yet it's far from that.
I wouldn't say it's vitriol. As Adam said we know you have good players and a manager. You've been constantly up there for quite a lot of seasons now. However you're partly written off for IMO 3 reasons. 1. You've been up there but not actually won anything despite being decent for a while. This likely means people write you off for doing the final step.
2. Lack of spending. You lot are proud, but you basically have spent nothing. There's buying success, and then there's spending money at all. A lot of lower placed teams have spent more. So be proud if you want, but without spending more money it's likely the reason you haven't made the final step.
3. Most pundits are ex-Liverpool/Man U. This will always involve some bias towards their old teams.
In addition you also notice it more to your own team than to others (think how long Coutinho saga lasted, Man City fans singing about us when we're not even playing them etc).
People know Poch is good. The reason for a lack of trophy is likely just lack of spending. Which United will offer if he wants it.
Also remember you Spuds do the same - think of all the times it's been posted 'Klopp has to win something this season'... Also a decent manager that has not made the final step with us.

The difference is Liverpool are the much bigger name historically so could attract better players or managers and do actually have the money to back this up and yet they get half as much stick for not winning anything as Spurs.1. Yes you could argue we notice it more because it's our own team but there is definitely a concerted media effort to slag us off for not winning anything. Do I wish we spent a bit more? Of course I do but the fact that we have over achieved for years while spending fk all seems to be mostly ignored. Just a shame that we are probably the only top 6 club that seems to run the finances properly and yet we are slated for not spending money as if it should be a badge of shame.
I'm sure the other teams would be a lot happier if we sold the club to a middle eastern prince and spent £500m to win the league, then they wouldn't look so bad.

Ta. I couldn't writed it as good as you.
As for winning something, I'd still rather be a Spurs fan than a Leicester fan. It's just a meme at this point.

I think you are being understandably selective - other clubs esp. Chelsea and City get the "you bought the league" accusations, something you never have to suffer Why do you think you are are the only club that runs their finances properly? You don't have to spend zero to be financially prudent.
Arsenal seem to be fine - they cut their cloth when financing the Emirates
Utd and Liverpool run their finances just fine - its just Utd in particular earn a lot so can spend a lot

In fact only bent City and Chelsea (not quite balancing the books after Abramovich avoided FFP by splurging before the rules came in) look dodgy

Isn't anyone even slightly worried that spending getting on for 800 million on a stadium is a bit of gamble?
When you look through the headlines and actually dig in to it (pardon the pun) they haven't spent anywhere near 800 million on building the stadium. But that doesn't sell newspapers unfortunately.Gassing Station | Football | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
