Any United fan who thinks after one game against a top side justifies ogs' position then they're a dick as far as I'm concerned.
Correct.

If however he wins every game between now and season end.....oh...my...days. biggrin
As a Utd fan do you think OGS has the tactical nouse and wherewithall to be a successful manager with Utd in the PL long term? I can't help feeling at the moment it's all a honeymoon period and the club is just glad to be out from under the dark cloud of JM and OGS is rightly riding the wave of all those good vibes but let's be honest any manager could have come in and done the same. There was only one reaction and one way Utd were going to go once JM left. I'm just wondering in the cold light of day week in week out plotting a strategy to navigate a club as big as Utd through the PL, cups and CL campaigns whether OGS has got the capability to do it when all the backslapping and goodriddencing and sighs of relief have gone.
Honestly? I've not a scooby doo. None of us do really. Subjectively I believe he could do it, objectively... scratchchin

He has a great Number 2 with Phelan to help guide him, Ole will take advice from him I've no doubt. He'll be desperate to make it work, passion for the club is not an issue. I believe he has the squad of players to end the season well but fwiw I don't think we will get top 4. Hope I'm wrong.

At the end of the day it's about winning. He's had a perfect start. If the squad maintain that good form then he will present a compelling case to be given the job full time.

Moyes, experienced manager, flop. LVG, extremely experienced, successful manager, largely a flop. Mourinho, winner, vastly experienced, less of a flop but damaging to the club.

I believe OGS couldn't do much worse than that lot.
Fair points. I actually think Man Utd could go unbeaten for the rest of the season now but I can't help feeling OGS is a short term fix not a long term solution.

Oh yes they are.
Strange then why the club with the far biggest revenue in the world chooses to spend £600m+ on leveraging debt and £53m on shareholder dividends, with over £130m cash in the bank over the last 10 years, rather than actually, oh I don't know, buying the best players in the world to win the EPL/ECL.....

You do ? Can’t see that personally , they will score goals for sure but that defence is nowhere near good enough .

Ideally I’d like to see United do well & finish above Chelsea & Arsenal but obviously behind us.

Aguero would be a much better fit for United and half the price.

Although not sure why he'd want to move from the best team in Manchester to a mid table has-been.

Probably not but I've never been accused of being too wise so I'll enjoy it while it lasts. Wasn't so long ago that your lot were mid-table too. tongue out

I appreciate the sentiment and that's very gracious of you, but I highly doubt it.

Peace and love. hippy

We broke the world transfer record to bring Pogba to the club just a couple years ago. We've spent £52M on Fred. Sanchez's wages etc...the clubs that are spending mega money on signings are getting in to trouble over FFP.

We've spent stloads since SAF retired. Got us not much, but the spending is to pursue titles, be under no illusion.
