It was the direct quote from the first part. The second part was not being confident about a result today. My point was you're now the same as us other clubs not competing on all fronts now, that's it. Did better than us to get this far, but ultimately are in the same position of not winning it, but are more tired/injured having played more games as a result of staying in the cup longer.

Textbook that in the first year the EFL Cup removes the rule that away goals count after extra time, Spurs go out on penalties when they would've qualified on away goals.

Not gonna say much as it seems to go against the grain on here and I'll probably get drowned out by the optimists but the reality is we are nowhere near strong enough to compete in 4 competitions. This result was entirely predictable.
