I've never shot any animal so I don't know the details but if you shoot birds with shot, are they not peppered with shot and inedible (unless you pick it all out)?

Yes you can get lead shot in them. If anyone wants a sensible discussion about shooting rather than name calling without any understanding there is a shooting thread. Other than the rats we shoot for a farmer who is over run we tend to eat a lot of what's shot or give it to folk who also want game. No apologies whatsoever for liking shooting and fishing along with footy :-)
