Spurs looking out of their depth.

Long season catching up?
What's coming back to bite us on the bum is the lack of a break for our squad after the world cup and no pre-season...just straight into it.
LOL, Ajax played 3 qualifiers to even reach the CL.

And if Ajax doesn't have WC players….

We needed and expected some players to step up tonight and instead they have gone missing.

Still, another half to make up for it and have another go.

Clearly Mr Trippier has been bunking off crossing and corner taking lessons for the last few weeks!

Utterly hopeless defending from Trippier IMO
He is a true wing back, the likes of which the Brazilian national team would kill for. The issue is not trippier , the issue is that in this formation you need two defensive midfielders.

You must be watching a different game to me

I just saw Trippier make a suicide pass to your CB that almost lead to a goal, with a cross effectiveness ratio of 20% and who let the winger waltz inside and take his time picking a cross for the goal

Brazil? rofl

The issue is more that's he's not showing any discernable ability at being a wing back or a defender.

Ajax look so calm and controlled on the ball. You'd never believe this is practically an U21 side taking on the mighty Spurs.

not saying he can’t have off games but that aside he is inside the top ten defenders in the league across all defensive positions and that’s from a gooner.

Well, to be honest, I would have taken that after the first half.
The three players we were relying on, Moura Alli and Eriksen never turned up. Sissoko, as has become the norm, was immense.
We’re still in this.

Weirdest match I've seen Ajax play this season.

Could've been, should've been.....

Ajax was sloppy, gave away so much posession in the 2nd half,

Verthongen's injury and Sissoko in wasn't to Ajax's advantage (mastermind Poch mistake)

Zero chances for Spurs though. Weird game.

That shot coming back off the post keeps you in it. At 0-1 down, it's going to be tough, but still winnable. Fingers crossed you crash out, but I'm still worried.

Disappointing from Spurs.

A champions league semi final.

At stake, the right to lose to Barca in the final.

I thought they would have seen off Ajax tonight.

I am quite pleased with that result as well. We looked like we were going to get steamrollered after 30mins so I am quite proud of the way this team responded.

Still in it!

Fair enough, I think having Mustafi in your side might have warped your views smile
