Not that anyone will probably care... ... but I think it's a dangerous road to walk down to vilify a player for thinking they heard racist chanting. It's obviously upsetting to be tarred with that brush as a fan (trust me, I've had to deal with more than my fair share of this) but if we start making players apologise for what they think they heard and were wrong it could end up going down a darker path, potentially...
Mr Rudigar should have been 100% sure of what he heard was racist abuse before talking to the Ref . All he has to do is apologise & publicly say he misheard what the crowd were saying & i have no doubt sit would defuse the situation in an instant & appease the Spurs fans involved .
Has this happened before ? A player claiming he heard racist chants only to be proven to be mistaken ?

Even if the player had heard this chant before and was found to have been mistaken before? He should be absolutely 100% sure he heard any racist chanting before he runs to the ref and accuses fans.I wonder if he'll do it again and become the first player to get a racist hat trick

And who reported those alleged chants to UEFA ? I’ll give you a clue - it wasn’t Rudiger and it wasn’t Chelsea either. Do your research. If you did you’d know it wasn’t him who made an allegation against Roma.
As you seem so clued up on the incidents and as he's one of your players, would you expect him to apologise?mickk said:

That sounds optimistic, assuming the damage was minimal. Oxlade-Chamberlain did his MCL and it was a year. Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Moussa Sissoko has been ruled out until April after having knee surgery.

I did mine in 2016 and no way could I run or twist even now.

Oh - so I take it you’ve done some research now and understood that it was an allegation made by someone on social media in regards to racists chants aimed at him which initiated the ‘previous’ incident and not him ? Great.
Perhaps he should apologise after some people also apologise for making accusations against him that simply aren’t true ( and have been made up ), yes - Care to go first ?
No it's fine, I still think he made the all the st up in an attempt to belittle the Spurs fans, now it's been proven he was wrong just think how well it would go down with all fans if he said he was sorry.Perhaps he should apologise after some people also apologise for making accusations against him that simply aren’t true ( and have been made up ), yes - Care to go first ?
My apologies wouldn't have the same effect.

All the media who got involved in the witch hunt and those on here who were so quick to put the boot in should apologise too tbh but we know they won't.
I did on the Liverpool thread where I was discussing this with ascayman, but will do so here too.Apologies to you spuddies for taking the reporting at face value and therefore assuming the chants were racist in my previous post. Very glad it was not the case.
