Rumours of Jose being unhappy have started sooner than I anticipated, about 10 games? Impressive.
We predicted this was going to happen. I agree with Smarty about getting the 3 points being important but apart from Lo Celso who was a bright shining light, I thought we were turgid and boring, i.e. a typical Jose team. We shouldn't be struggling to play football against bottom of the league Norwich FFS!My mate has a theory that Jose has a special knack of managing to turn even special players boring and st, I think Son is a prime example of that, he has been woeful the last few games.
Not sure how many more games like this I can watch to be honest. It's telling that these days I always have the game on in the background while I do something else as it just doesn't hold my interest anymore.
Also if it wasn't obvious before, it's become very much so now that our manager was never the problem, it was our players and lack of investment in new blood. Jose won't fix that issue, Levy needs to spend money on players but he won't. We are apparently the 8th richest club in the world and yet we are quibbling over a couple of million trying to sell Eriksen to Inter, just get it done already.
Levy has delivered a shiny new stadium and shiny new training ground but what he has failed to do is deliver shiny new players or a shiny new trophy, it's time for him to go. #LevyOut

Ryan Sessegnon £24.30m
Giovani Lo Celso £Quite a bit but hidden in a loan deal
Jack Clarke £9.90m
The problem is that we had a extended period with no signings. We have the same problem as United, no DoF of football (although having one and Levy is probably incompatible).

That's still less than £100m and that followed a period of two years where we spent no money on players at all. For comparison Aston Villa spent £200m, ASTON VILLA ffs!. Ryan Sessegnon £24.30m

We need to be spending £100m pretty much every year if we want to be competitive and we need to get a hell of a lot better at moving players on when they are no longer required.

Lots of teams spend money, without much success to show for it, such as Everton, Villa and United. We need to spend what we have in a smarter way, which takes you back to the need for a strong DoF.
As we aren't going to get a DoF who is able to stand up to the head coach and Levy, expect lots more unbalanced squads that can't perform,
Would a decent DoF have allowed the Gedson Fernandes loan? It appears to be little more than a bung to Jose and Mendes,
