I think Sane is a brilliant player, if anything he probably doesn't get enough games but that's what happens when you play in a squad of 22 world class players.
Personally I don't think Dortmund is a big enough club for him tbh but it's the age old question, do you want to be a big fish in a small pond or vice versa.

He doesnt seem to have a low centre of gravity unlike Sterling, Aguero, B Silva, D Silva, but then again neither does Mahrez.
