Won't get tickets for genk stadium to small we will get about 1000 tickets
Salzborg is 32k so we will get about 1500 so unlikely
Napoli a no go for me, so really st draw, need teams with 40k and above so we get 2000 for me to get tickets, pissed off
Good draw for the team. Not so good for the fans. Be interesting how many go Napoli again. A fair few who went last year went as it was their first time and a box ticked but it wasn't overly pleasant. Salzborg is 32k so we will get about 1500 so unlikely

VvD named UEFA mens player of the year.
Well deserved.
Very much so!Well deserved.
Even though people outside the club and its supporters said that we paid far too much for him, his signing made a massive difference to the team. Just think though, we could have waited 18 months and possibly bought Harry Maguire ... for even more money!

I can't remember if it was in an interview, an after dinner speach or publicity for a book, but he was asked about Brian Clough and told a story about when he went round to his house to sign. His story rambled on for ages but basically it made Clough look really weird, losing his marbles and saying he was pissed etc.
Some other bloke, can't remember who, was also there at the time and said Saunders had massively over exaggerated the story and thrown in a few lies to make himself look good. Upset the Clough family too as Brian wasn't there to defend himself. Spoken to several people who have come into contact with Saunders and almost without exception, he's described as an arrogant knob.
A pity people like him even get air time...Some other bloke, can't remember who, was also there at the time and said Saunders had massively over exaggerated the story and thrown in a few lies to make himself look good. One horse race IMO. Well deserved.
Messi best player of this century, if not ever.
Nonetheless VvD, Kloppo and Liverpool deserve all the credit.

12 in 10 in champs league and 3 assists

I'm not a betting man, but I said VvD would win this when the shortlist was announced.Messi

Messi and Ronaldo have set the standard and raised expectations but the performances, and coverage of them, of VvD made him very hard to beat. If we hadn't won the European Cup I think it would have been Messi again, but we did (with the bonus of putting Messi out).

Yep know what you mean, people take what they do for granted, Messi had an exceptional year but so did VVD, lucky for him he won not many defenders are good enough to win that Messi and Ronaldo have set the standard and raised expectations but the performances, and coverage of them, of VvD made him very hard to beat. The Arsenal match "behind the scenes" vid. Post match footage of Elvis Costello talking to the chief exec and the Ox...you can see the Ox wondering "who this old guy is".
