Jeez, lots of green eyed monsters around here this evening. You can't just throw money at something and expect to win. The players need to gel, the manager needs to manage everyone needs to be on form. Irrespective of how much has been spent, what City have done in thr past 2 seasons is pretty incredible.
I'm not a City fan and never will be, but I can at least admire them for what they've done and how they play

I'm not a City fan, as I said in a previous post. My team are pretty st (Southampton) but I don't grumble that a team that's had lots of money invested into it wins stuff and does well. Generally, that's how business works..... You invest, and get a return. It's capitalism anonymous said:

But the great Tonker has said it, so it is fact.We had decades of dogst football and calamitous ownership, compounded by it being constantly rubbed in our faces by 'them'. So if it's OK, we'll very much enjoy the success brought by the owners. Plenty of sides have pushed us hard in individual games this year, not just the push to the title by Liverpool's form. Watford capitulated and City were able to go full throttle knowing there's 8 weeks off.

I felt sorry for Watford. A cup final shouldn't end up so one sided with a team taking so much of a hammering.
The teams outside top 6 are just so far behind the top 2.
Watford had their chances, they just failed to take them. (And the first couple really should have been put away). The teams outside top 6 are just so far behind the top 2.
Even at 2-0 down there were chances.
The third goal seemed to hit them hard though, and there was no coming back after that.
They tired, but were beaten by a better team.
Nothing anyone can do about the money side of life, and every other team's fans would not be moaning if it were their side on the receiving end. Liverpool finishing so close this season and City losing games through the season prove it's not a foregone conclusion that they will mop up every year (though Liverpool hardly have a bargain basement squad!).
Looking forward to a season against the big boys as a Sheff Utd fan And to be able to whinge about how much more money 19 teams had than us
If you want edge of seat stuff, follow a Championship or League One side (like I'll be doing in 20/21

quite simply, crap. city and liverpool have been pushed so hard, so often this season. it's an absolute insult to insinuate every game outside the 'big 6' has been a cakewalk.as for your last sentence, more utter rubbish. if they'd given up, how come onuoha tried to hack aguero down before he struck the ball?

They missed a really good chance early on in the game. A few half chances afterwards. Every game the inferior team always gets a few chances. Even at 2-0 down there were chances.

They really needed to score that goal to make a game of it. Man City needed some pressure and nerves.
Once City got a couple of goals they are well in control. Then they brought De Brune on(their best player) the score should have been more than 6.
Wolves could have scored 1 or 2, but City could have scored 8 or 9.
After the first goal the game wasn't close.

People who harp on about the fact that it's fine for the big clubs to splash the cash because of history, but not for new ones to get a financial leg up to compete on the same terms are basically just interested in maintaining the status quo.Gassing Station | Football | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
