Looks like City and Chelsea had both been on the fence anyway and both decided to walk away today.

Unfortunately this will leave a bad taste, and will do some long term damage to City's reputation, which was never great in the first place due to Sheikh Mansour's billions.

Even Richard Dunne's own goals pale into insignificance.

Damage limitation needed and quickly.

Life's never dull being a City fan. smile

Let’s hope the return of the old John Stones isn’t permanent.

Watched most of the game last night and a few things struck me (watching as a Leeds fan):
- how toothless are Villa without Grealish hogging the ball and Watkins? Offered basically nothing all game even when Man City went down to 10.
- no decision to make on the red card. It was an exact carbon copy of Liam Cooper's challenge on Jesus the other week apart from Stones didn't get the ball. Not sure what Guardiola was protesting about?
- how good is Phil Foden?
- have you ever seen Matt Targett and Joe Lycett in the same room together?

It was good to get the win and one step closer to the title, especially after conceding after 20 seconds. More dropped points there and who knows what happens. We've overturned an 8 point gap in 6 games before. Like you say though I can't really remember them getting in behind us too much after that.

I thought the red was 50/50 but he was so late even without the slowmo that they showed the ref we can't have any complaints. I was as surprised to hear Dean Smith say it wasn't a sending off after the match.

Foden is fantastic - he can be as good as he wants to be. That turn he did in the box when he shot over was almost goal of the season. He's like KDB - you have to rewind the match to see what/how he did what he did quite a bit biggrin

It wasn’t very long ago when pundits talked about Foden like he was the new messiah and I thought, “he's good but not THAT good”.
Now, once again, I realise I know fk all and they were right all along.
He will be ranked amongst the really greats by history.

Hard to watch. Seen City sooo many times, have all the possession, only to concede on the break! If I’d been in a bookies, I would have put £20 on Spurs ... even though I don’t gamble. nuts
Well done Blues, GET IN! clapparty

PSG are a joy to watch when they get going. Their defence is still a bit suspect and takes far too many chances. There's always an error in Navas.

For all PSG have been comfortably the best team, City will look at the chance that Foden should have taken.

I can’t see a team with Stones at center half winning the champions league.
Great to see home picking up Veratti for the goal. Madness.
