low ball? you are kidding, yes?
Well it was less than Levy wanted. And you chose to spend £100m on Grealish, instead of spending that money on Kane. And Grealish has managed 3 goals and 3 assists all season and missed 2 sitters last night, when you exited the CL, again. So yeah, I think that history will suggest that you low-balled a bid for Kane and it was destined for failure from the outset. If you'd increased your Kane bid by the money you'd spent on Grealish, you'd no doubt be booking your Paris hotel room now.....Edited by TEKNOPUG on Thursday 5th May 16:58

Even as a United fan and find it funny that City dropped 100m on Grealish, to say he missed 2 sitters is a stretch. First one he did everything he could and it was just great defending to clear it off the line and the second was a world class save from Cortois. He couldn’t do any more really. He’s been bang average this season though.

125m offered for Kane. are you seriously sticking with this being a 'lowball' for a 28 year old, with a fairly comprehensive injury record?
Fairly comprehensive injury record He's played in 85% of league matches in the last 3 seasons, scoring 54 with another 24 assists.....
Having seen Benzema and Modric play last night, Kane is definitely in the twilight of his career, as demonstrated by his performance at your gaff....
Everyone knew Levy wanted £150m+ Offering a bid that you know will be rejected is the very definition of lowballing.

And then got him back and sent him off again for going down clutching his own face after he'd slapped Modric TEKNOPUG said:

Couldn't daddy mansour have looked down his sofa for a few more quid and saved poor old Man City all this trouble

I love that you're claiming Kane is coming in the summer as if that's the panacea for City's problems, at the same time as saying Kane isn't worth the asking price.

who is claiming kane is signing this summer? Couldn't daddy mansour have looked down his sofa for a few more quid and saved poor old Man City all this trouble
my point wasn't that kane wasn't worth x, but levy would always want x + 25m, no matter what x was.
oh, and city's only real problem is converting chances. a striker, if you will.

Kanes past it now, he lost the chance to goto City.
I think the pep style doesn't suit him tbh though.
i wouldn't say he's past it, but he's past a mega money signing fee.I think the pep style doesn't suit him tbh though.
agree in that i'm not sure he'd fit in at city. been programmed to be selfish at spuds, and a bit long in the tooth to be more of a team player.

Kane's not a team player? Seriously?
what i've seen of him (not that much, i'll admit), he'll take the ball on further and shoot where he'd be expected to pass at city. i think this is why grealish has struggled in his first season at city as his natural game has been stifled.tamore said:
