Why don't they do away with the offside rule altogether?
It would be the same for both sides.
I've often wondered how differently the game would be played if there was no offside rule at all. There should be a match set up for charity of something (played by professionals) to see what happens It would be the same for both sides.

I *think* it's because the RM player touched it so at that precise moment Benzema was offisde.
Had they allowed it I'm sure they have found a way of saying that was right as well.
I'd always say any benefit of the doubt should go the attacker.
If a defender touches the ball that is a new phase of play as I understand it so wouldn't be offside.Had they allowed it I'm sure they have found a way of saying that was right as well.

Mbappe got away with one in the nations league

How is Haaland only costing £51.2m? Seems a goods bit of business unless I'm missing something.
That was his release clause. But he's also costing a lot more in agent fees, salary and bonus. And whatever backhanded payments are made too.

Not impressed with the purchase of Phillips. Really don't rate him at all. I'm sure Pep will probably work wonders but I anticipate a frustrating first half of the season at least
My first thought as well, but Phillips tends to look bad because he does a little too much when going forward instead of keeping it simple. If Pep is good at anything it's disciplining a player in a role. Haven't seen his long-range shooting but it's quite important for our DM, as shown by Rodri & Fern.allegro said:

Agreed, not good enough. Not a sensible transfer. Only thing I can think is Haaland means we may play two more defensively minded midfielders so we can accommodate a number 9.stuartmmcfc said:
Meanwhile how’s the rebuilding going on at Old Trafford?

No, you'll just have to wait"
She said, "love don't come easy
Well it's a game of give and take"
You can't hurry love
No, you'll just have to wait
Just trust in the good time
No matter how long it takes

I agree with you - we’re desperate for Rodri cover and Phillips has looked half decent whenever I’ve seen him play.
Guess you've not watched him this season? First 3 years under Bielsa, the first 2 in the championship especially he was brilliant. Slightly less so in the premiership and then had a decent Euros. Since then he's been awful. Poor decision making, injuries etc. Its infuriating seeing him compared to Rice as Rice is head and shoulders a better player, one that does the KP stuff as well as contributes with goals.I love him as he's "Leeds" but I'm not overly bothered about seeing him leave. Another season like the one he's just had and he's a 20m player...
Tickets went on sale today at 10am. I couldn’t phone so I went on line at 10.15.
10500 in the queue and a wait time of over an hour. After 50 minutes I lost internet connection. When I got it back I’d missed my slot and had to rejoin the queue. Another 40 minutes!
Connected and couldn’t find any available wheelchair spaces for the games I wanted
I was being called but I managed to find a space for the Crystal Palace game, bought them and then realised we were on holiday
I got home an hour later and in a calm manner looked again. I discovered a few tickets available in an area i’m not looked at previously. I then discovered I’m not bought Crystal Palace tickets but Spurs tickets on the day I can go. So in the space of a couple of hours I managed to go from not be able to get any tickets I wanted to ending up with five.
The good news is that wheelchair spaces and a ticket for my assistant range between £25 to £45 for the both of us.
Happy days!

There’s a guy on TikTok whose thing is to be an official greeter outside stores. Normally it’s places like Primark however today it was outside the Man City training camp
