Neutral here but happy to see the team booing the national anthem lose.
No place for that dirge at a football match.
Agreed, what would you replace the anthem with? Perhaps an anthem that reflects the entire nation such as Jerusalem instead of a song about God saving a billionaire would be more fitting.

I’d prefer a ballistic missile. But you can’t always get what you want wink

The Mersey flows through Gtr Mcr suburbs a long time before it reaches Liverpool so good choice laugh
(I think the option to call the Mersey the Irwell where the two meet should be re-visited - scousers on Irwellside!

Don't need any 'anthem' - this is a football match (and a charity event to boot) so just get on with it. Jerusalem is another pile of God bothering nonsense.

Agreed but when an anthem is played, just shut up and don't boo even if you don't agree with it.

Have the BBC updated their 'how many trophies can Liverpool win this season' unbiased report yet? smile

Totally agree, fking idiots

(of course all Spurs fans are angels which is why you are all piling in on the City thread)

Cracking game in the end, shame it went to penalties but glad the much anticipated trouncing by City didn’t happen

No sponsors on the front and very retro.
This seasons strip isn’t that dissimilar.

I should give him a chance. I’ve seen him in action and he’s pretty good. He’s tall but young and since I’ve not noticed many top class keepers making their way to the City ground, I should keep the faith smile

Well at least it's clear as day for all to see now that VAR is only being used by the authorities to further manipulate results even more than any ref under instructions ever could.

Var got the decision spot on. Its the rule that is absolutely ludicrous. As a LFC fan I have to laugh, same end, same opposition and same outcome as the CL game. It certainly adds entertainment, but it is so ridiculous.

I dont think any of the 22 players, ref or his assistants who thought it wasnt a goal.

And VAR choosing to completely ignore Rodri getting wrestled to the ground in the penalty area in the first half?

Did VAR get that decision spot on as well?

There can only be so many coincidences before you have to admit there's something more to it.

Bluemoon in meltdown. VAR is going to kill football, and I would have said the same if it would have been a Tottenham goal ruled out.
