Samsung zero gap mount the wall is dot and dab 12-13 mm pb the gap is about 22mm

The supplied fixings non seem suitable the hilti toggles seem to need a minimum of 48 mm to open

The plugs dont seem long enough at 55mm

Advice ?

Can’t go go through to the wall behind the dot and dab?

Although plasterboard is surprisingly tough - this is the best solution if it's really heavy

This guy does some decent reviews of fixings

Can only really use their bolts tho due to how close the tv is to the bracket

Ah ok. Can aftermarket bolts not worth with the bracket though?

^^^agree, just hung two 65" TVs with Sanus full motion TV brackets, so, so quick worked a treat.

Use some screws of the correct length( say 3.5") and some brown plugs. Drill through into the block and make sure you hammer the plugs into the block with the screw.

Make sure you don't crush the PB as you screw in.

For heavier items, where the screw will need a decent level of tightness, I always put some form of spacer between the block and surface of the plastboard if the fixing location is outside of an adhesive area. Copper pipe or a section of broom handle with a hole drilled through the middle both work well. Might arguably be unnecessary for a flatscreen TV with a large-area support bracket though.

I use these. Straight through into the block and fix the mount with the washer and nut. Will never fail.

Might not work too well with a 'zero gap' mount! :-)

The fixings you require are Corefix PLUS30.

When they arrive, they are worryingly thin compared to the bolts that usually come with TV mounts, but are rated to 250kg so are more than up-to the job. They have a normal pz2 size screw head so are very low profile (just make sure you have some suitable washers).

I couldn’t decide which fixings to use for my TV and bought a variety. I didn’t fancy GripIt because of the size of the hole you need to make and the fact they rely on the strength of the plasterboard.

I ended up using M6 Rigifix fixings http://buyrigifixonline.co.uk/. These will be ideal for a low profile bracket because you can use any M6 x 20 screw to mount the bracket into the fixings, they come with screws but you can always swap them for something like this https://www.screwfix.com/p/easyfix-button-head-soc...

Make sure you’ve got decent drill driver with hex bits for driving the insert in to the plug. They are absolutely rock solid and because the mounting screws are into a proper thread you can take the bracket down without worrying about damaging the fixing.

When I put my telly up I managed to find the batten for one side of the bracket. Big ass screws straight onto the wood there. The other side alogn the top and bottom I used wall anchors which are surprisingly strong. Whilst the setting tool isn't mandatroy I find it; does make the job easier.

I got a separate tool and anchors to the size I wanted but here's a budget option.
