How can you not love Bailly biggrin

His first game in 10 months and he had a stormer after a dodgy first 10 mins. Him and Maguire could form a great partnership imo and maybe a back three of Bailly Maguire and Lindelof could be an option?
Until
He gets Injured

I think the bias is yours. It was definitely a red card, and the first goal was incorrectly ruled out. The 2nd goal was correctly ruled out. Man Utd were the better side and deserved to win, but VAR was useless.....again.
Incorrectly ruled out for an obvious push? I dont think thats even within the bounds of reasonable views.
Fed pushed Azpilicueta into Williams. When the goal goes in, Fred throws his arms up in despair. He know what had happened, and knew the goal was good.

Fingers crossed he stays fit. That performance after what 8 months out was pretty darned impressive.

Keane utterly taking the piss out of Caragher during the combined 11 chat was very amusing.

I believe Fred threw his arms up.in despair of Azplicueta’s dive which subsequently saw him foul Williams justifiably costing you a goal. He was lucky not to be booked for diving like Willian.

I also thought this, but watching replays a few times Freds push wasn't really a foul as he barely pushed as used the back of his single hand and wrist.. made to look worse due to Azpilleceta already heading to push Williams out of the way... So both decisions fair..

Maguire well it's nowhere near as obvious as Son's foul and thats being appealed and Batshuayi was heading at speed towards running over him so was just protecting himself.. If he got sent off I'd say was a little harsh but would accept.

Still think with 10 men we would have gave them a game tbh... Arsenal did

Azpilicueta didn’t lose his balance and wasn’t pushed forward so to speak it was minimal contact that occurs in most games .
He was absolutely not pushed into doing what he did .

Anyway nice to see you’re as st as us .

I thought both sides were poor, to be honest. It looked like a mid-table game, which i suppose it was.

It’s arguably both ways, but the right decision in my view. Watch it in slow motion. Fred “pushes” into your player, had Azpil just bumped into Williams, you’d be right, but after being “pushed” into Williams, he extends both arms to push Williams forward.

He’s one of those players who you love, until, he makes a rash challenge/decision, or he gets injured again. A liability in my book.

When Andreas came on we did play with 10 men...

Ighalo should have come on and partnered Martial rather than the change made - not unusual for us to make the wrong change though. James needs a break big time. Fred has been great lately, I am completely eating my words with him, and Bailly...how can one person be the calmest and the most mental at the same time.

And we scored from a corner...a corner!

It’s a good start to the run in that. I thought we did ok, 2-0 away at Chelsea is never to be sniffed at and it’s our first double over them for over 20 years puts some perspective on it as well! Puts us 3 points off 4th with Chelsea or Spurs dropping points this weekend. Can’t see Sheffield dropping points this weekend though.

Consistency now please Ole. Which will come with a little run!

Great to see Bailly back as well. He still looks like he’s got a mistake in him and his tackling can make one wince but he’s a better option than calamity.

A positive couple of days, roll on Thursday.
It’s not 2007, so first double in over 30 years smile

I didn’t think it was much a spectacle as an interested observer. Neither side looked great, the difference was United took their chances. First Chelsea goal could’ve easily been given (a definite at home, possibly not away) second definitely would have last season. VAR jury still out for me.

Bailly looked good, but still a team that can be beaten by most sides. Some positives for you from the break I think as it looks like there were some coaching improvements. Not sure if Fernandez has caused that though as he looked a real quality player.

Makes the battle for CL spots more interesting, arguably Sheff Utd are in prime position!

Tonight’s games

Dortmund vs PSG has to be worth a watch ,Dortmund are as good as any team in Europe going forward but have a defence as bad as most teams in Europe .
PSG probably when they are at it the best team around to watch but so mentally flaky it’s not true.
Should be a cracker .

First half wasn’t great ,second half made up for it.
No idea tonight but Leipzig are again very good attacking ,very iffy defending but spurs look very light upfront .
You can’t go wrong wTching German teams at the moment ,it’s by far and away the best leAgue to watch at the moment ,still 5 teams competing for the title .
All great going forward and garbage defending ,makes cracking entertainment .

I’ll flick into the spurs game I think.

McSauce back in full contact training today.

Pogba’s agent appears to have gone into full reverse, hand break turn and 360 spin mode, not that a word out of his mouth is to be believed. . 5. Months of will he or won’t he nonsense as he’s off doesn’t generate goodwill from the crowd.

Anyway back toothsome that want to play for us, Igalho to start Thursday? Hope he gets at leat more than 4 touches!
