We’ve been trending towards this sort of performances. Still inconsistent within games though. And if Rash could finish ....

Will Rashford learn to finish? Some players do even at his age, I think.

I only listened on the radio, but it sounded like a much improved performance.
He’s improving all the time and developing well. It’s been pretty clear the last few games that he needs another striker alongside him centrally while he’s out on the left.

Pogba being out might be a blessing in disguise as I must admit, Fred played a blinder today and him and McSauce being quite the partnership! If Pogba comes back to play in the 10 role in front of them with a free reign then we could be excellent (although the jury is still out on Pogba for me)...

Come on ORD Rashford has carried the team so far this season 5 goals in the league 3 assists before today. He’s hit 50 goals 4 games quicker than Ronaldo. He never stops moving. With Pogba back and martial fit our front line will score a good, few, goals. They all looked electric today.TV doesn’t do his movement justice. He’s going to be a fabulous footballer.

Shaw has a job on his hands getting young Williams out of the team as does Young. That’s not a nice flowing sentence.

I also have new lucky trainers. But I don’t want to jinx them by mentioning them here.

I've not been anywhere, just quietly watching utd turn corner after corner on their own little version of the Penrose staircase (It's the hope that kills you)

As for the title race (irrelevant to this thread I realise) I'm prepared to concede it to liverpool... courtesy of the governing bodies, their officials on the pitch and VAR.

As I've said previously I'd actually be happy to see liverpool win a couple of titles, taking them on to 20 titles and 6 European Cups... making them far and away the most successful British club in history and something for all other clubs to try and emulate.

The very epitome of a bitter. He wants Liverpool to win the league so they’ve got a better record than Man Utd. I guess that makes sense when there’s no joy in your own plastic club winning things.

Don’t misunderstand me - Rashford has been excellent recently, and I rate him.

But his finishing is poor. He needs 2-3 very good chances to score. That’s one reason he’s better suited to playing wider, with Martial through the middle.

I guess it's because we win things rather than buy them.

I agree. He CAN finish well but so often he misses. I don't think he's good enough yet and we need a proven finisher alongside him. Not just his fault but we could have been 7 up in that game very easily.

The Liverpool fullback the other day said Rashford was the hardest opponent he’s faced .

I think another striker just to take the load of him and so they can rotate the strike force.

Well, well. Yesterday was the first time I’ve ever been to see a Premier League match. I’ve always been more of a rugby fan, but I took my 11 yr old son yesterday to watch the Brighton match. We went on the stadium tour on Saturday too.

We’re both Man U fans and I’m really kicking myself for not having gone before. A great game, but really astonishing to witness the skill levels, pace and physicality of it up close (we were 5 rows back in the AF stand).

It was a complete overload for my son, and so much the better for being the first time for both of us. My son wants to watch the highlights back and try to recreate some of the skills he saw on display. Just a great father / son day out.

Cheshire Oaks kept my wife and daughter happy too :-)

So, there you go. Another southern softy Man U supporter to add to the list.

Now all we need is the team to play that well for the rest of the season.

It's something else in the flesh. The pace and ball control is frightening.

Just watched the highlights-I had to listen on the radio yesterday.
Very impressive going forward.Daniel James gets better and better every game.
Brandon Williams is going to be good aswell-I think Luke shaw is going to struggle to get back in.

Good for you. It’s amazing the first time you go to old Trafford. Walking up the steps and seeing everything.

Seeing as it’s lovely and quiet in here at the moment (strange that it’s when Spurs have taken a massive dip in form and are well below us in the table wink ) so I thought I’d put down my best current 11...

DDG

Bisakka Maguire Lindelof Williams

Fred McSauce

Pogba

James Martial Rashford

Only one I might change is Tuanzebe for Lindelof...
