That was frustrating as f...

We lost because of no creativity at end of day.
Were still no where near clicking up front. The goal we scored was exactly how we should have been attacking all game.. fast quick passing.

Fat too much dithering, and a lot of lost passes due to not reading/understanding each other.

Top 6 may be a push
Also just a lack of quality. Rashford is not a playmaker, yet he is forced to play that role. James is nowhere near the finished article, yet we are relying on him already as a starting forward.

We have a very hard season ahead of us. Depressingly predictable given the lack of spending in the summer.

We all know we need a midfielder and a goal scorer so why not try mason up front at least for a few games.

Nope. I think we are in for a truly awful season. And I won’t blame OGS for any of it. The tactics are fine - he simply does not have the players.
We’ll agree to disagree then. You are wrong about the players. In my humble match going fan opinion.

Crowd were right behind Pogba. James Has electric pace and will terrorise defences this season and we are 3games in.

Truly awful season? No sorry that’s bks for me. These lads will come good. Apart from Lingard. League is beyond us but that’s not news. I’m not calling a truly awful season so early. I saw some real promise today ruined by a despicable refs performance.

My glass as ever is half full though.

In the context of the situation. That being a refereeing decision going against Utd at OT (I didn't see it so I'll take your word for it) along with the grammatical error was quite funny, so yeah I laughed.

It’s a strange one because I’m more optimistic than usual, but only for the medium term (2-3 years). I see us being very poor this season but much better next, assuming we buy a fking striker and a CM.

I just cannot see us scoring anything like enough goals to compete for places 3-5 in the league. I really hope I am wrong. But we look extremely light up front.

To be fair Ord said all the same last year just before the 14 game run lol. I do agree we are too light up front for injuries etc

True. That run was awesome. But then the collapse was epic. And our squad is weaker nowS

I disagree. Getting rid of people who didn't want to play (lukaku) and freeing up cash to spend in future on players who want to wear the utd shirt (James, Maguire, obi wan) was always going to be better long term. Long term of course not meaning this season. We've never really replaced scholes/Carrick and Herrera now. Up front we have two players who are brilliant on their day but who are not 20-25goal strikers yet (maybe never).
We are exactly where we knew we would be, scoring lots of goals will be very difficult, but you'd hope the defense gel and soon! The 4 goals against Chelsea were fortunate and not typical of what will happen.

Interesting change to Pogbas role from OGS who seems adamant he's not letting him go anytime soon..

He needs someone next to him to help with defensive cover, and I think McTom and Fred could do that this season. Last year with Matic we looked stretched all the time as he has no mobility.
Can deffo see Ole sticking with McTominay next to Pogba this season as they work well together and McT's higher energy will be much better than Matic slower style.

Forget my 2nd place prediction, we're going to be Champions wink
Are you selling it by the kilo...if so I'll take 2.

More brain dead inbred nobs apparently racially abusing Rashford online today :-(
What sort of idiot takes that sort of nonsense online over a football match, surely it's straightforward for Twitter/police to have their details ?

The signings were good but there weren't enough of them, not replacing Lukaku looks like a dire mistake and the midfield is far too weak. De Gea seems to have continued his form from last year and United's squad still has too many ineffectual players who should have been shipped out.
The ongoing failure to recruit a director of football makes the club look ridiculous, do Woodward and the Glazers care at all about the football side of the business?

In a nutshell this. We need a creative midfielder plus striker minimum. Linguard is not good enough

Just watched the 30min highlights.

What was Lindelof doing for the first goal? It was a simple header to win, he's such a weak defender it's unreal. Can't believe some of you rate him.

De Gea's mistake can happen to anyone, but the defending leading up to that was criminal, lots of shouting and pointing by the team but you basically just let palace carry the ball 60 yards with hardly a challenge made in the last minute of the game.

Usually I'd use smilies when talking about you lot, but it wasn't even funny. I said you were toothless against Wolves, I think this was far worse than that display.

Southampton is massive for you now, they have a midweek game first which is a positive for you I suppose.

That's assuming the club has the patience to stick with OGS; the "Ole out" brigade are very vocal at the moment. IMO he needs at least this season and the next; yet another sacking will not help matters.

Which is ridiculous - the club are obviously looking for the slow and deliberate build and some supporters can't stand what is going to be served up in the interim.
