Taking away the rabble rousing of the trollish contents of his post, I was having a conversation at work last week about fan behaviour and major sporting events.

My colleague is an Oxford Utd man, (I work near Victor's gaff) and he has season tickets with his (now grown up) son and various members of family. We were talking about the taking of kids to match, wives, and in his case his mum and dad. Talking about the nets up between away and home fans, the amount of those just next to the nets who never watch the match - just stand staring and shouting at the opposition fans for the abuse.

I was also talking with a cpl of my Italian colleagues, who have previously gone to watch Roman, Juve, Milan when they were home and the hell of being anywhere near the Ultras.

We then compared to rugby matches and Silverstone, esp when a home drive is on top, from Mansellmania to JB and Lewis now and also Monza again with my Italian colleagues. I haven't got any Germans or Spanish at work currently, but I have lived in Munich for a few years. I was there for the World Cup win and still vividly remember being drunk with 100,000 German fans down Ludwigstrasse, traffic stopped...but no violence and everything cleaned up by 9am and folks going back to work normally!

As an open question...what do we all think with regards to fan behaviour now, as opposed to "back in the day", for which pick your timeframe.

Suppose to be Minamino medical next week, he missed the game at the weekend so has played his last ever game for Salzburg.

You get nutters in every country but they seem to attach themselves mainly to footy. Can't help but think many Brits are a bit behind some of our European neighbours in knowing how to enjoy themselves without being tts.

Man City are currently as close to Liverpool in the table, as they are to the relegation zone.

Liverpool: 49 points
City: 32 points
Relegation zone: 15 points

hehe
Didn’t you make the mistake of celebrating prematurely in 2014?

The arrogance of your lot is unreal.
Enjoying being top of the table and so far ahead of City for once... = arrogance?

Dear God, another one's turned up. Unless this is another fake account. Who'd be a Mod in here...?!
Stop making stupid people famous.

All 3 are/were brilliant.

But Suarez remains the one for me. He was just such a natural forward, with a desire to win that was 2nd to none.

Shame about the biting.

I agree. I was thinking about this the other day when I saw the above on Reddit. Torres and Mo score some really special goals every now and then. However Suarez had half a dozen worldies against Norwich alone.

He did like playing Norwich laugh

I think the stats are a bit misleading... Suarez had much less quality around him, particularly in his 1st season with us, and took a while to get in to his stride... but once he did he was the best I've seen for us in my adult life. Just imagine Suarez playing 9 in this team...

Not saying Mo isn't an outstanding player.

Oh I dunno. If we're talking about working with crap teams, Torres had some absolute chuff around him. The number of times him and Gerrard played together wasn't that many! At least Suarez benefited from Sterling and Sturridge!

And that's the flaw in trying to compare different players in different teams over the course of time based on basic stats.

Yeah, Suarez did have better quality in his last season. But Torres probably had Gerrard at the peak of his ability, though both had their injury issues at the time.

Still think Suarez is the best I've seen.

If we do confirm the Takumi signing from RB Leipzig, Klopp will have a very easy job choosing his forwards.... he'll close his eyes and say:
