We conceded 5 last time out and that team had a few 1st team squad in it. I think they actually did better tonight - but were never going to win. Villa's goalie made at least 2 excellent stops too. Pretty decent performance that, pleasantly surprised.
We lacked a target up front who we could stick the ball to. Elliot also put some great angled balls in which our usual front 3 would have thrived on.
Kane was a little wasteful in his passing which is disappointing given his greater experience.
I can excuse the defending, there's a reason why centre backs improve the most with age. It's not like Gomez & VVD didn't give up chances against Watford!
