I think regards to Keane and Davis it’s confidence and of late they are brimming with it. Also it’s down to finding position’s and who they play well with, Carlo seems to have found a couple of permutations that work well and suit the players.

I do hope I can get to goodison before they move, what with covid restrictions and fans thinking like myself don't think tks will be easy to come by , first went there in 1967 v spurs ,remember it like yesterday stood on my crate behind the wall at St End, onwards and upwards, I suppose.

Looks amazing and sure it's going to be brilliant once built.
Any reason why the capacity is smaller, I'd have thought they would have been around 60k mark to compete with the Emirates/WHL etc of recent new stadiums built.
WHU wasn’t built for football and it shows, just like the Etihad, soulless. It’s just under 60k and I think in the modern all seater era that is probably about right. Have you been to the Etihad Blue? It’s a fantastic stadium. I’ve been to WHU (simply cannot compare the 2 tbh) new stadium & the running track around the pitch spoils viewing in the away end, plus everywhere has draughty open gaps under the stands so f*cking freezing when having a pint. As for Goodison..... . it’s about time you got a new stadium further away from RS.
I've been to the Etihad twice, once for an evening game (the traffic was a nightmare) and the other for a 3pm kick off. It's a very smart stadium but you sit a long way from the pitch and it just seemed to lack the intimacy I am used to. Maine Road was one of my favourite away days when I was a boy and apologies that I mistook WHU for WHL, Spurs new home looks fantastic but I have yet to visit.Blue62 said:

The view of the pitch is no further than any other stadium... unless you were sat in ‘The Gods’ .. row Z or something. It was converted from an Athletics stadium in 2002, so no running track. 7m was dug out, so seating takes the space where the running track was. The size of the stadium is down to cost. I remember reading that the last 5k seats cost disproportionately more. I would have liked to see 61,878 to reflect us as the senior club in the city (and bigger than castle Greyskull)
The interior will have very steep banking and a blue wall similar to what the spuds have at one end. We wont have the soulless bowls seen in some recent builds. Dan Meis the guy who designed it has become a blue and has got the club and how important Goodison is to us. There is also the option to extend in future if needed...
Subject to funding this may actually happen.

The last time there I was about half way up directly behind the goal, the action on the pitch just seemed a long way from us, but I’m sure you get used to it, very different to what I was used to. Fast Bug said:
Digne has signed a new contract today, more good news
It’s very good news as he was linked with City, looks like Brands has also extended his contract. I see we are linked with Aaron’s along with a few others, I’m guessing clubs are looking at Godfrey and thinking Norwich have got some weird sort of Alchemist on their books! It’s been a good week to be a blue!
