He looked OK and his very brief debut from memory. It was a long time ago now though laugh

Can we just write him off as a tax dodge, I can’t see him being fit ever.

DCL, Allan, Gomes, King, Gbamin...

Lots of training injuries.

A few names on the bench I don't recognise. We really need to add some depth to the squad

We’re really struggling here, we really need someone to grab the game by the scruff of the neck. Some of our play has been very sloppy

I know you've got a lot of injuries (6 or 7 I think?), but how the hell do you spend 60-100m every summer and have that as a bench?

What a strange season this is turning out to be, I can’t remember more highs and lows in a single season or a time when injuries had such an impact, though we’re not alone. If I was in Carlo’s shoes I wouldn’t know where to start.

The biggest let down last night was Iwobi, again!

He come on at half time fresh, and once again offers absolutely nothing to the team.
Aimless dribbles, multiple touches of the ball then loses it with a bad pass.
Quite possibly the clubs worst ever signing,

It shows you how much Anchelotti rates him by being on the bench during a major midfield injury crisis.
And in fairness to Carlo, he has given everyone a fair chance to impress.
But Iowbi continues to be a completely ineffective. The

On a wider point, the team is screaming out for 2 wingers with some pace.
Has to be the priority ahead of a goalkeeper this summer.
Iwobi and Bernard are not the answer, tried and failed.

Several years of over paying for ste players, then paying them too much in wages. Sandra, Walcott, Bolasie, Tosun, the list goes on and on

I think most clubs have similar issues, on the flip side you can quote DCL, Richarlison, Digne etc.

The real problem has been the threat of relegation leading to management changes and panic buys over the last few seasons, all too haphazard with too many misfits. Iwobi was another moment when we panicked after failing to sign Zaha, my few Arsenal mates were shocked at the fee and I can see why, he is capable but has no consistency, great attitude but very frustrating.

Absolutely dire. Games in hand, you'd think the Ayers would be motivated, despite the injuries, but nope. Just dirge.

Yeah, bring Broadhead on with 2 minutes to go, give him a chance to shine. rolleyes

Jeez.

Yeah you've signed some crap tbf, I don't think signing proven EPL players is the answer anymore, you just get ripped off for average players. The only exception is if the team is being relegated, a falling out or they're out of contract (Ings, Pereira from WBA etc.). Iwobi, Walcott and other average EPL players end up costing 30m+ but have pretty much hit their ceiling, so their value only ends up going down.

Someone previously mentioning signing Zaha, but you'll pay 60m for him, pay him 120k a week and in 3 years he'll be starting to lose his pace and won't be as effective, yet you'll have him here for another 2/3 years.

You wanna be looking at the Championship and teams that don't come up. I said Buendia last summer, think he'll stay at Norwich now though. Olise from Reading and Mbeuno from Brentford will be decent buys as long as neither teams get promoted.

Daka from Salzburg will be another star buy this summer, only 22 years old as well. Would be class upfront with DCL, depends if you ever use 2 upfront though, I've seen you doing it on occasions but I don't watch you 24/7 so not sure.

I think we've bought too many cast offs from the likes of Arsenal and United over the years. With very few exceptions, if they're not good enough for them, they're not good enough for us IMO.

I'd like to see Aarons come in the summer, and I think we should have had a go at buying Cantwell too. And yes, we need to look outside of the prem, and no, we shpouldn't be going for Zaha, that ship sailed a few seasons ago

Sandro is up there with one of the worst signing’s in Premier History. A 4 year deal on £100,000 a week, with Bolasie not far behind on £120,000 a week. Frightening.
