Does anyone know this car?

https://finder.porsche.com/gb/en_GB/911-GT3-125332

On the face of it, it looks like a decent example. It's had three previous owners, is that out of the ordinary on a Touring? Presumably the first owner took all the profit, so it would be nice to know why the other two owners moved it on, given that it hasn't done many miles.

Bramleys had it for sale at £189k, then dropped it to £184k back in February. Not sure what they sold it at. Silverstone bought it directly from Nicholas Mee, who had it advertised on PH at £175k. Is there anything to worry about with this one?

Which seems like an odd response given your username. wink The Touring is the R but without those silly stripes.

It's a crazy price in the current environment. Wait until Jan/Feb and see it crater.

Love or hate Sytner, they do mark their stock down every month if its unsold and this is only going one way.

£45k for a lack of wing smile))

Looks bloody lovely to me, except for the price, but there are only 45ish Tourings in the UK.

I agree, it a beautiful thing. I think there are 47 C16 models.

The winged GT3 prices have softened considerably over the last 6 months, whereas these have moved but not anything like as much.

Got to say that Silverstone car looks lovely! I think I'm in the minority as I would take one sans wing these days. Makes the car so much more usable on a daily basis imo.

Price is an issue atm, and I would wait til after Xmas as I think they may soften a little more, but it is a pretty special and rare car so will never be cheap imo

They might do you a deal to shift it before year end.

i suspect the reason that car has had trouble selling in the past is lack of PCCB’s. The last Touring that Silverstone had ended up being reduced to £170k IIRC...that was a few months ago.

The advertised prices of Touring’s really have held up incredibly well. Great cars and very rare but when cars like 488’s or 600 LT’s can be had for that money you’d have to think twice. Admittedly very different cars but still phenomenal cars too.

If you cast aside the ramblings of a mad man, the only ‘issue’ with this car is the lack of PCCBs. These seem to be important for resale, as opposed to actual braking. There was a lot of horse-trading on the early cars so number if owners is not an issue.

I drove mine at Goodwood last week (sadly for the first time in 18m) and all I can say is ‘wow’. They are very special and there’s something very unique about these cars. I’d offer £160k to get the ball rolling.

Do it.

These look lovely but I saw one parked up in Central London recently and couldn't believe the size of the thing. I don't actually think they are that useable.

They’re really not that big. The shape makes them look exceptionally wide, but a wide body 991 is basically the same width as a BMW 5 series and nobody has ever described a 5 series as ‘not usable’.

I’ve got a 991 4S as my only car (approx 10,000 miles a year) and usability is never a consideration in regards to the size of the car.

I had a look around this last week, seemed in very good condition.

We also had a silver/tan Speedster, the interior is lovely, really quite nice.

I only agree on the horrible cheap plastic ducts as the RS with the Weissach pack is an amazing car..I'm getting the plastic rear air intakes and front fender flaps replaced with Carbon fiber ones.. Should have been standard on the WP cars IMO.

Carbon wraps look ok,but its still plastic underneath !
Got yer email, they have had 3 rs now,opc should not be selling at overs with current models.
Nardo suits the carbon bonnet etc,but its a ste colour to use, shows every mark. How greedy can a opc be,buy it and loose a good dab over the next year!
