In the form of a riddle ..
If I fit in an MX-5 Mk3, my head touches the roof in an MX-5 ND RF, but can fit (just about) in an MX-5 ND soft-top .. will I fit in an Elise S2/2010-? I'm 6ft2.5.

Should be fine, we have both nd mx5 and elise s2.
The elise I find is actually more spacious for my legs than the mx5.

I have quite long legs compared to upper torso and fit the elise ok. You can always get steering wheel spacers for the elise to bring the wheel out to you if you have the seat all the way back.

Easy. 6'2" here. Had an 08 Exige and did track work, so with helmet snug, and put it on in the car but doable.

I'm 6'5" and own an S3 Exige. I added about 30mm worth of spacers to the steering wheel to bring it closer to me and I fit just fine. Head room is ample, though I doubt I could fit with a helmet.

On the other hand , my missus has an ND MX-5 which I really struggle to fit both in terms of headroom and particularly legroom; the steering wheel is huge with no reach adjustment (pre-facelift).

Buy the Elise and enjoy.

I drive a 1959 Sprite, and fit in it with the roof up (and down!) , I am 6ft 5.....so surely there is space in these more modern cars?

6ft2.5 isnt exactly tall, but a lot can depend on your shape.

If you're tall with short wide legs you'll be several inches taller when stat down than someone 6ft2 with long skinny legs.
