The more I see of Grealish the more I bemoan the fact that we didn't get him a couple of years ago. He looks a Spurs player through and through and would fit great in the current squad.

(Alli + Ndombele) for Grealish

I would probably go for that right now, I would even chuck in a Sanchez to sweeten the deal.
I think Ndombele is technically better player, and if he continues to get in the first team over the next year or so could develop into a much better player than Grealish. Alli - I can't see him turning it round at Tottenham which would be a shame.

Ndombele is better than Grealish imho.

As for buying him, a price was agreed iirc and then the new owners came in and they didn't need the money anymore. He is making his name in the national side anyway now so it was the right move for him to stay. I hope he can stay at Villa and go on to be a legend there rather than rot at somewhere like Manchester.

Grealish is a fantastic player but on no planet is he a replacement for Alli + NDombele + Sanchez.

NDom in particular is settling more and more with each game and I'm sure will go on to prove the doubters wrong and be a great player for us.

Got a bad feeling about this one.

We may be 1-0 up but City are all over us here

2-0 but I am still nervous. I do like the way we are playing though.

It's not pretty to watch but it's effective. Our first test against a top side this season, passed. Chelsea next!

Lovely job, the sort of performance we used to hate watching from Mourinho’s teams because it was so annoyingly effective. Really enjoyed seeing a team work so hard for each other.

To see Deir not being Dire in fact being excellent.
and when Rodon came on I did not have that fearful feeling.
Cracking effort by the team
Ndombele coming into his own too.

A superb performance well played/planned and executed

That was a great result and we played very well. Chelsea next week will be the acid test, Maureen will get them right up for it, he will not want to lose. If we beat them I think we are going to win a top four place at least.

Mourinho masterclass. Hojbjerg is such a fantastic purchase. Precisely what we needed. Hope Toby is not too bad

bds!

Knew you'd beat Man City, they look average this year. Kane and Son continue to look brilliant, keep them both fit and you'll definitely be right near the top come the end of the season.

Tanganga is back in training so hopefully he'll be back soon. I'd like to see Rodon given a decent amount of minutes in the Europa so he can get up to speed. I think between the two of them, we have enough cover for Toby, just don't ever play Sanchez again please Jose.
