If we win the CL and get 8th place in the PL would it be a successful season for us? laugh
Right now if we qualify for the CL that would be a successful season for us frown

That's gone.

No chance of catching up now.

Have to agree.

If you look at the fixtures left we don't play any of the teams above us so no chance of taking points.

The only glimmer is that all the teams we need to edge out of top 4 are playing 2, 3 or even 4 of the other teams in top 6 before the end of the season so potentially they'll take points off each other giving us space.

Our run in is the easiest of the top 2-6 teams on paper and if we can sort form out we are in with a shout, although unlikely.

Let's not wave the white flag till it's mathematically impossible to catch up. We've had a hectic couple of seasons. wink

I wonder how much Klopp is focusing more on the CL than the league now, given that it probably represents our only opportunity to get back into the CL next season.
Given the seven changes against Fulham (I think only Firmino was a forced change due to injury), should answer that one.
Not really as the changes out were playing crap too

The glimmer of hope is that for the past 4-5 seasons, those teams competing for 3rd/4th/5th at the thick end of the season have tended to try their best to finish as low down the table as possible. I'm sure this season will be no different and we're leading the way already.

What on Earth are you on about? Top 4 is still very much attainable for your horrible lot. You're only 7 points off with 10 games to go! All the teams in the top 4 other than City will drop lots of points (hopefully not Utd, but that's hope rather than expectation). Find a bit of form and it's there.

1. There are several clubs around us with 1 or 2 games in hand.
2. What is this "form" you talk about?

We have enough good players to go the rest of the season unbeaten. But for whatever reason, their "mentality" is weaker than last year. Gini said as much in the PC yesterday. As such, an unbeaten run seems very unlikely at the moment.

Gini also said he'd be "gutted" if he has to leave and said why. But clearly his contractual thing is all about getting as much as poss from 1 last major contract, which I can understand.

As for 2, I have no idea. I support a team that cannot kick the ball straight on Wednesday and then beats the best club team in the World on the weekend.

Surely Liverpool are one of the ‘form’ clubs in the entire football league currently.....????

Thank goodness we have 3 away games and then the international break. Surely not many of our players will be playing for their countries.
