Great news for my local club, used to go with my dad and big brother back in the 80/90's when I was a young lad, don't go as much these days I admit! Exciting for the town and local area though.

Hope it goes well for them. Enjoyed my visits to the Racecourse Ground and a few pints in the Turf beforehand.

Hmmm.

Wish them well. But it could either go Elton John at Watford or Uri Geller and the kiddy fiddler at Exeter.

Global force! Lol

We’re not getting too excited yet a couple of promotions would do for now. Got to start by sacking the manager.

Going to have to set you straight on that on.

Jacko had no financial or any other of interest in Exeter. He was mates with Uri Geller who was mates with the people running the club in those dark days, a pair of now convicted con men called Russell & Lewis. As with all con men a nice piece of deflection was very helpful and they started the rumour that was Jacko was thinking of investing in the club. He went to two games maximum and that was that. He also wandered around Fulham a couple of times and the rumour he was going to invest with them as well quickly started.

As soon Russell and Lewis were removed from the club, we became one of the very first fan owned teams and have set the bench mark for this Trust method of club ownership.
We have built up a terrific Academy which has seen numerous success and has helped boost the finances of the club which have paid for lots of improvements to the ground. We have had a couple of good cup runs including drawing with both Man Utd under Fergie and Liverpool under Klopp.

Ok in the leagues we are bit of a yo-yo promotion club but compared to the dark days of Jacko, Geller, Russell and Lewis I would consider that most City fans like me are pretty happy with their club. The main culprit in keeping this nonsense in people’s perception is the BBC who for some reason mention it frequently especially if they are covering one of our games.

Anyway...... I am very confused as to why Wrexham have been chosen by Reynolds. He is a well known practical joker but it looks like he is serious so good for them. Genuinely hope it works out.

They are making a Netflix documentary about the rescue ! One of the oldest football clubs in existence almost dropping out of existence / the football league, clinging on for dear life under fans ownership during covid when there are no fans saved by Hollywood stars ... you get the idea why Wrexham was picked.

Hope they get the investment they need.

One of my earlier memories of supporting Arsenal was when I was younger and them beating us in the FA Cup 2-1.

Think they were in the 4th division at the time and can remember a pitch invasion at the end,a true giant killing.
Had the piss taken for days at school after.

Good thing we did the cup double the season after.

Wish them luck, but I can't see them becoming a "global force". Realistically how many millions will they need to put in in order to rise up the ranks and have any chance of becoming sustainable in the long term? I'm guessing they'll get bored long before that happens.

Hollywood actors have a long history of failed investments, I only hope that for the sake of the club this isn't one of them.

As I mentioned above they may use the term global force but after decades of misery wrexham fans just want some success a couple of promotions would do most fans. Yes it would take hundreds of millions to get into the championship I think a solid 2nd division place is very achievable with a manager and coaching staff who know what they are doing and a few new players. We almost got promoted 2 seasons back with zero investment so £2million should buy us a couple of promotions.

I’ve been to most games since I was a kid. Yes we’ve had our glory days I was on the kop when we beat Arsenal but more recently it’s been tough. Probably not decades but we deserve a bit of luck.

Any background to why they chose Wrexham or what the plan is for the club?

All seems very random.
