Just need to sack the manager, replace half the players and buy the league now!

Yes exactly smile

My home town club although I'm a season ticket holder at MUFC as I preferred Lee Macari to Joey Jones in the 70s. Then I used to live by Joey and he'd come and have a knock about with us kids.

Benitez will do a job. Everton fans don’t want him and he’s local.

Who knows with this pair in charge it could be anyone. Who would have guessed at Tic Tok. Nobody, ever.

Any background to why they chose Wrexham or what the plan is for the club?

All seems very random.
I always assumed it was because they are a manageable size and reasonably affordable, have a decent football heritage as one of the oldest surviving professional clubs and because they have a nice ground. They could easily catapult up the season with a decent investment in the manager and players.

I often work in Wrexham and rather like it, it isn't the prettiest town in the world but the people are usually rather nice and self deprecating about it's shortcomings especially an endemic drug problem.

Yup + fan ownership so easier to bid for.

It used to be a much prettier town but some questionable retail changes sucked the life out of the town centre. Drugs have been a particular scourge since the 80s sadly. Maybe it's proximity to the m53 corridor and up to Liverpool is the issue there.

They are making a documentary Wrexham is the third oldest club in the world so a good back story and hit rock bottom a decade ago. Hollywood hero’s to the rescue promotion followed by promotion fans going wild etc… it will sell well. Make more money from Netflix than football.

Plus it was cheap to buy £1 with no debts.

Keeping an eye on Wrexham. My father was a supporter and my uncle had a heart attack and died watching them. We were never sure if he died happy.

They're favourites for the Conference title.

Which, I'm a bit surprised at, considering Torquay are about fifth favourite.

Think I'll stick a fiver on the chip nickers rather than the 'celeb' club.
