You okay hun?We seem to have decided that most of last season’s squad aren’t up to it. I thought it was a couple of players we needed, not a wholesale rebuild.

So we’re going to buy Sancho, Grealish, Rice and some on here want Phillips too. So we play 4 attacking midfielders plus Pogba and Bruno. That’s going to end well. 6 in midfield, Rashford and Cavani and Kane and Haaland upfront. And a 5 man defence too. 5-6-4 is a pretty radical formation, I’ll give us that. More seriously, I don’t like the idea of two holding midfielders at all times, but I’d like to think we can accommodate one, otherwise we’ll get destroyed in matches. Then there’s DVB who hasn’t had any sort of run to see whether he’s any good or not. I know you expect him to be the greatest player ever, but that’s not how it normally works.
Don’t forget McTominay, or is he on the scrap heap with Greenwood too? There’s no point just buying everyone

What I’d like is a sensible approach, which I think the club is doing (although I’ll believe we’ve signed someone when they’re officially announced, not when the internet says we have). That’s more than can be said for DVB. He’s not had a half decent 10 minutes, let alone 30. unident said:

That’s even more concerning then. It suggests we’ve got no idea as a group which players, or areas need strengthening. I think you’ll be hard pressed to find anyone who thinks we should buy everyone!
