If only there was some way the local council could be made to foot the bill for a new one for us.
Maybe if one of our board was on the council he can structure a deal whereby the club agree to rejuvenate the local area ,as he buys up all the local property and then once the deal is done. He can then sell the said property he aquired for a huge profit .
Oh and he can go on tv yesterday and tell everyone how greedy the clubs are being .
Yes but that sort of thing could surely never happen.

With City’s win last night I think that put any tiny glimmer of the league to bed. 21 next season then wink

Agreed. If we can finish within 9 points of a very strong city side and only loosing as many games as them then that’s still great progress!

How many people said we were miles off the pace at start of the season... virtually everyone.
Regardless of all the excuses all the negative fans will say “everyone was poor this season” etc
Facts are we haven’t lost an away premiership game in 14/15months, only lost 4 prem games this season in total and only 1 premiership game in last 6/7 months (to a team that has probably the record for least wins in a premiership season!! )
Considering we didn’t make any majorly big signings in last two windows and were classed as desperate by signing Cavani ! Ole has done a remarkable job! To me probably manager of the season along with Moyes.

Yep, 100%. I’ve been critical of Ole a few times this season but things are definitely moving in the right direction and with a couple of additions this summer (who knows what’s going to happen now though) we could be competing with City next season.

Good to see some fans making our voices heard this morning at Carrington. Not sure going on to the 1st team training pitch was wise but apparently Ole and a couple of players had a chat with them and they’ve left. Protest this weekend to by the sounds of it smile

Unless fans start hitting the Glazers in the pocket financially nothing will happen. Fans need to boycott games, not buy merchandise, not renew season tickets.

I like the idea of a protest, but will do sod all.

This last year has been an exceptional boycott of games. I don’t think a single fan has gone to the ground. Hope that’s teaching them a lesson wink

I suspect gate receipts less the costs of stewards, staff etc is quite small compared to premier league receipts, worldwide TV rights and merchandising.

Just to add my thoughts on the season so far. If we end this year as strongly as where we currently are then I’ll be ecstatic. We have overperformed in a lot of areas, primarily grinding out wins without playing brilliantly but I can live with that in some ways.

I still think we’re a long way off being genuine challengers and there are plenty of positions where we’re struggling to pick the right player or have confidence when we go into a match that we’ll win it. I don’t think we’ve won many matches comfortably but equally we never do it the easy way. Our tactics are still iffy.

I really hope we can break this semi final hoodoo as it’s starting to become a bit of a bad habit and winning a trophy would be a fair reward for this season.

It’ll be interesting to see how well put away from holds up with full houses again next season, ditto our home form should be a lot better with 70k+ cheering us on.

United - Arsenal and City - Chelsea finals?
Arab, American and Russian money in the finals.

Who really cares....
Certainly not Ajax lol
Bitter pills choking you haha.
Only real football club left in the top of world football; the rest are pretenders, Arab oil sponsored, American private equity franchises, shirt sellers and oligarch toys.

Missed penalty and a rooky mistake from the 21 year old No.3 keeper in the home game, a rejected goal in the away game; st happens. Roma got away lucky.
rofl Ajax may be at the top of Dutch football, but it isn't anywhere near the top of world football

As you also well know, United has never received a penny from its owners.

Bitter. Much!
It's very, very close to the top of world football as the results in these past 5 years have shown. Even while selling many players.

And United is an American private equity franchise, bought to be sold. In the meantime the Glazers are cashing in to the TV rights money ball.
Really....... I don’t care thumbup
You do.
Quite funny how this carry's even more weight since last weekend.

Oh get out of it. In terms of value Ajax and Dutch football is nowhere. You're just a feeder to the big clubs in proper leagues.
Speaking of value; as we've seen in this past week theirs more to football than money (and debt laden US soccer franchises like Spurs, United, Arsenal and Liverpool). Clubs who charge their fans silly money for TV rights, tickets and shirts.

And if theirs one big club in world football it's Ajax; given the impact on youth/player development, talent scouting, playing style (Barcelona and Bayern play the way they do thanks to Ajax), former top players, coaches and managers etc. And that's even apart from the silverware.

Because Ajax of course still won more CL titles than United, City, Spurs and Arsenal combined.

Saddo post alert yet again from one of our feeder clubs fans :-)
Really no one values your opinion on the thread, you are just pissed that spurs were included in the top teams list while Ajax never got a mention...

An EL final in 2017 and CL semi-final in 2019 (which obviously given the diff. in strenght with the 1,1bn. in debt club should've been at least a final).
