Inevitable that Nuno would want his own team.
I read on the gossip lines that they will be promoting from within which will be interesting if that does come about.

“West Ham United is pleased to confirm that Academy coaches Mark Robson, Steve Potts, Gerard Prenderville, and Billy Lepine have been given permanent first-team positions by head coach Nuno Espírito Santo.

The quartet, who have been assisting Nuno on an interim basis since his appointment, will now assume their roles full-time: Mark, Steve, and Gerard as first-team coaches, and Billy as goalkeeping coach”.

Great stuff, might be getting the heart of our club back a bit.Billy Lepine was assistant academy keeper coach when Ben was there 10 years ago great to see him get to that level. His Dad Dennis was a bit of a West Ham legend.

This sounds like a great move by Nuno, continuity and it's what the supporters want to see. I don't know the chaps but they seem to have done well with the academy.
p.s. How's your lad doing these days SJC, goalkeeper isn't he?

Indeed he was Rich, but a fractured ankle, torn ligaments in the same ankle,a tarsal coalition operation,a double fracture of the right knee (with a torn Acl/Mcl at the same time) over a 10 year period put paid to that… he can’t even play 5 a side now unfortunately.
He’s just about to start working as an assistant to a football agent….which might be an interesting journey!

Ouch, that’s really bad luck.

Working for the football agent should be interesting and potentially very lucrative though.

Indeed, ouch! Sorry to hear that. My son was a goalie too, was at Wycombe Wanderers as a kid, played for U18 at 15 but wasn't really tall enough at 5'11" maybe 6' and was good at golf too. had a few assistant pro-jobs at various courses then head pro at Caversham. Tried the tour in South Africa and Florida and now, age 40, is head of golf at a swanky golf club in Orlando. Life often takes a varied path but one thing seems consistent, sporting people are competitive and I'm sure he'll do well.

Funnily enough like most fans our opinions of agents aren’t high !

Not sure if mentioned already but Antonio training with Brentford and Fulkrug has a 'muscle injury' which will rule him out for a 'few weeks'

45-mins on the train/tube & £3.95.

I'll chip in £0.50.

That bloke's the answer to "worst West Ham striker ever".

Indeffective, unfit, perma-injured, ultra-expensive waste of money.

That is saying something.

The bar for that is so high I doubt even that Duplantis bloke with a very long pole would clear it.

If we're going to play that game again I start with Davor Šuker. I thought we were buying an high quality, international striker, instead we got a waste of space!
