Looks like we kicked off a round of odd results beating the barcodes, Spurs and Liverpool did the business tonight!

So predictions? Out with mates last night and they were talking about WH turning a corner. I am a bit more apprehensive. I dont think we can just become good overnight. Both wins this season were against teams who woefully underperformed. Did they make us look good?

Certainly looking at the team names, you would fancy it, but Burnley are set up well and we have the Scotty Parker effect...

Potts to start surely. I was umming and urring about him but he has a maturity and presence in the middle. And he can run, which is a big bonus over the other centre mids!

Yep. Not sure who'll start up front as some suggestion midweek that wilson may have an issue (aside from being too old).

I think I could say every week with no knowledge at all that Wilson has an issue, and would probably be right 8 out of 10 times lol

Had some tough news this week that one of my sons exWHU academy coaches and all round top bloke had a very sudden diagnose of stage 3 bowel cancer. Tommy has done him a fantastic personal video.. great stuff and top man.
Also JWP and Todibo visited The Boleyn Tavern this week to spend some time with the Any Old Irons.Nice to see that we still have some values left, and fair play to JWP getting involved in the circumstances.

So we managed to edge a win at home to Burnley. A win is a win but still not impressive imo.

No it wasn't impressive, however let's hope that back to back wins and 6 goals will instill a bit of fight into the team, we need it!

Tough crowd!

I thought we played ok especially second half,3-1 would have been a far better reflection of the game if Arreola could catch. There was some poor keeping on both sides.
Very poor goals to concede though, nothing was coming off for Bowen and Jimmy constantly flattered to deceive.
The Fernandez/Potts axis is really starting to work hopefully Potts injury is nothing of concern.
