Mental table ..
28 points separate 1st to 11th in the table…
4 points separate 12th to 20th….
The mathematics are certainly interesting...opta quoting a 14% chance of relegation for West Ham, yet elsewhere in article (the writer) says they need 4 wins to avoid relegation. So there's an 86% chance they will get 4 wins?28 points separate 1st to 11th in the table…

Prior to Saturday, not sure if pre or post the Forest game Friday night

According to Opta, the Hammers have the second highest chance of avoiding the drop of the teams in the bottom seven, with Leicester’s relegation percentage slightly better at 12.1 per cent...
...But Opta think it will be a close run thing with Leeds (44.1%) and Bournemouth (43.7%) not far behind...
...Of course relegation will be decided on the pitch not a spreadsheet. And West Ham know they are likely to need at least four wins to stay up...
I think Leeds chances have fallen from 40%ish to 20%ish off the back of one win (admittedly a crucial 6 pointer)...But Opta think it will be a close run thing with Leeds (44.1%) and Bournemouth (43.7%) not far behind...

Can't find the opta data quoted, other than this from 5 days ago. Am sure Sky were showing updated %ages during the Chelsea - Everton game. Anyone got a link? Can't see anything on their website or Twitter...

Quick question for you guys.
One of my US colleagues is coming over to the UK for a holiday in May and wants to go to the home game against Leeds. I am not a West Ham fan (sorry!) so don't know how difficult this would be for someone with no booking history.
He would want to get three seats together. Can anyone advise the best approach for him? Create an account on the OS? Use TicketExchange? Rock up at the ticket office on match day? Is the game against Leeds likely to be sold out? Also - if he can buy in advance, where would be the best place to sit in the stadium?

The games are always "sold out" (based on tickets sold rather than bums on seats), but it will also will depend on our circumstances at the time,as it's likely to be a massive relegation battle and also our last home game. (I've turned down a great road trip to the IOM because of it ffs!).One of my US colleagues is coming over to the UK for a holiday in May and wants to go to the home game against Leeds. He'll be behind season ticket holders, those on the waiting list and claret members,so I think it may be difficult, even more so if he needs three together. Hope that doesn't sound all doom and gloom, but that's prob the likely reality as it stands... might change if we go on a decent run.... so it won't!

Easiest (and probably only) option is via one of the direct sale sites orientated towards tourists & swallow the premium. Doubt it'll be cheap, but should be able to get three together.
Stadium orientation puts away fans in the Sir Trev stand, half behind the goal & upto the top - the rest's home fans.
Worth him noting that it's usually very busy getting into the ground as there are security checks & it's a large ground to walk round depending where he comes in/has seats - there's a stadium plan on the club site.
Final & most important thing... tell him not to buy a half & half scarf!

OOI, what is his interest in that particular game? Is he a fan of either side? If not I'd suggest getting as far towards the front near one of the corners as possible. it's a big ground and that gets you closer to the action.
Personally I doubt you'd find 3 seats together just as random attendee.

Thanks, any advice on which direct sales websites are reputable/trustworthy for this?Easiest (and probably only) option is via one of the direct sale sites orientated towards tourists & swallow the premium. Doubt it'll be cheap, but should be able to get three together.

Afraid not - quick Google chucks up a few, some of which are in $ which appear to offer re-sales. I get (work) emails from a company called Seat Unique - never used them & they are more corporate orientated, but they do list the match.

Two games in hand and if we beat Southampton tomorrow we pop up to 14th above Forest still with a game in hand on them and two over Wolves and Palace. It all hangs on tomorrow's game, if we lose to So'ton we deserve to be relegated!
Sadly our games in hand are vs Man C & N'castle. At best that's one point.Gassing Station | Football | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
