BBC saying Nuno doesn't want to sell Pac in the window, despite strong interest from two clubs in Brazil offering competing bids.
At 28 and no stomach for a relegation battle, unless its going to cause a lot of internal player issues, surely have to let him go?

k off in the summer (along w/ 95% of the squad). We're in a shambolic situation w/ players: Paq: t
t; JWP: ostracised: Fulk: s
te/loan; Alvarez: stupidly loaned out; Wilson: w
ker; Cornet: injured toss; Igor: pointless loanee. TCEvo said:

Agree entirely, time for Paqueta to repay the loyalty shown to him and play until the season end. Four more months won't hurt him, then he can p

If his head is on the right way and he s motivated he s a player we really need. However, he s looked disinterested and we can t carry anyone who isn t up for the fight. Maybe bank to money and let him go. Also not sure how much of a positive or negative influence he has on the rest of the team.
I can't wait to get shot of him to be fair, has been way below par this season and seems to be a negative influence, much like Kudus at the end.I didn't feel he should have walked back into the team after the sending off incident either. To have him sulking around the club for another 4 months will do us no favours. Cash in now and spend the 30/40 million on players who want to be here, or will stick around when relegation comes.

I didn’t think that Brazilian clubs were particularly ‘cash rich’, compared to other leagues? If he goes back home, I’d be surprised if we got much more than 20-25 Million. Happy to be wrong if he does go though. Pincher said:

I only said that amount as that what's been banded around but to be honest, I'd take £10m if it means he's gone.
I d keep him until and unless we have a replacement. Our squad s thin already.Pincher said:
There can only be a handful of players that we have sold for any sort of half-decent profit in the last few years?
Struggling to think of any really
Last 10-yrs we've only made decent returns (£5M+) on Downes, Kudus, free kick taking dStruggling to think of any really

head, Diangana, Tomkins and of course Rice - although as Academy players those three are a little different. The main problem we have is that we do not unearth talent, we just pay money for players that are well known and at their most expensive.
The board and their 'football manager' approach to player signings is a major part of that.
Its worth bearing in mind although we are not making clear profits on players, buying players at a price then selling them cheaper part way through a contract is not seen as a loss. If you buy a 28 year old at 50m and sell him halfway through his 4 year contract for 25m at the age of 30 thats not recorded as a loss as the cost is spread over the term of the contract. Which is why I think £25m-£35m for Pac right now, given he wants to leave and his head isn't in it, is a good deal.
