Same here.
We stand our teams of the 70s & 80s up on that pedestal but this current team is at least their equal, and given who they're going up against probably better overall.
Win or come second, this season has been incredible & a pleasure to watch. Big things to come as well.
Soak it up lads

Wolves have an easy team talk - "half these lads are hoping villa win and assuming that gives them the title. Let's ruin that"
Had a dream and city were two up on sixty then went down to ten and villa scored a pen. No idea how it ended.
Personally I think city might have a wobble at some point but will win. I partly expect them to go 1-0 up within 5minutes.
Regardless the reds have been superb, and to take this sports washing outfit who've benefitted from some very questionable decisions all the way to the final day is amazing.
You only have to listen to a pep press conference to know how much we've bothered them.
City would have walked the last five titles winning them in mid April had it not been for the reds. Stopping the pl becoming the French league in the process.

I will be disappointed not to win the league.
Not because I expect it, not because the team hasn't given 100% this season and not because I think we deserve it more than City.
However at one stage we were 14pts behind City with every expert pundit and many on this very forum writing us off. Having now reeled City in whilst pushing on every single front has been absolutely exceptional, it will hurt if we don't win the league having got so close.
Of course regardless if we win or not, this team has had a magnificent season but a league title would be the absolute icing on the cake. I'm still dreaming it maybe can happen.

It's interesting how many non City fans want City to win as they don't want Liverpool to.
A human rights ignoring dictator owned team that that clearly has breached any sense, or law, relating to financial control, has bought their way to success, not trained and improved their way there.
Funny old world we live in.

Yup, not even considering the title is a possibility. Just looking for a good result to end the domestic season on, and a good send off for Divock. It's been a great season - ultimately dropping quite so many points in the first half of the season did for us as far as the title goes but still an excellent season; one to be celebrated today.

To me they just don't count because of the points you've raised above, same as PSG, it's just a nonsenseA human rights ignoring dictator owned team that that clearly has breached any sense, or law, relating to financial control, has bought their way to success, not trained and improved their way there.

So them winning the league hurts an awful lot less than the alternative
It's a backhanded compliment in a way
City win it. Meh. So they should. They've bought it, like all the others. Back page new for a day or two. No-one cares.
Liverpool win it from so far behind. It's against the odds. Been done fairly financially. Bigger news especially if it keeps the quadruple alive. Will be back page news everyday until CL final.
