Apparently Wilson is off.... hopefully it's a permanent deal!

Excellent news. For him and us. Seemed likely he would never cement a place with us, so best of luck to him. Fulham is probably a decent fit, level wise.https://mobile.twitter.com/dmlynch/status/14186036...

Yeah agreed. Glad he's moving on - another fringe player not adding any value to the 1st team squad. £10m the fee apparently. Is it me or are has there been a slight change in policy this year regarding outgoings? For the past few seasons, Liverpool have been demanding and then holding out for high prices for fringe players, often having to scramble at the last minute to find them a loan deal when clubs refuse to meet the asking price. Covid a factor in get-what-the-hell-you-can policy change?

I suspect there is a certain amount of "post covid" realism. Surely Wilson would have gone for more than £10m 18 months ago. I guess they factor in what wages each player is on too (that they're no longer paying, I mean). Is it me or are has there been a slight change in policy this year regarding outgoings? We turned down £12m for him from Burnley last season, hoping to hold out for £15m. In the end Burnley didn't want to pay that much and we only managed to scramble him a loan to an EFL club after missing the PL deadline.Lack of matchday revenue and posting a loss last season has a lot to do with it for sure. Oh and the ESL no longer in their financial projections.

He seems to have been around for years and years without ever really threatening the first team.
He's a good player, definitely PL quality IMO. A permanent move and regular game time is what he needs.
Pre Covid he would have been worth £20m no doubt.
If he's PL quality it's right at the bottom unfortunately. He's a good player, definitely PL quality IMO. A permanent move and regular game time is what he needs.

Move now confirmed. I'm sure with regular game time he'll push on a bit. Good luck to him.

Gini has had a little dig.
Seems to be saying he felt he took the blame when we lost.
I don't remember that personally. He rarely had a bad game.
Plenty of comments on social media sometimes that were having a go at him when we played poorly. Once word was out he hadn't signed yet, the drivel online from some keyboard warriors was aimed at him. Seems to be saying he felt he took the blame when we lost.

But I suspect he mentioned it in the interview and the published version has made more of it than there was.

Ultimately though, it seems he was having a little dig at the owners:

Probably a little higher I'd say. When I've seen him play he's looked good, but not a Klopp player. His ability to score from midfield is top class though.Flip Martian said:

He seriously can’t have such a thin skin ? God help him if he ever played for Real Madrid so.
Somehow I think it was a case of paper not refusing ink, a simple question and all of a sudden made for decent clickbait.
Shaq confirms he is looking for a new challenge elsewhere:

Wouldn't be a huge loss IMO if he does leave but hopefully Minamino can pick up the same weights Shaq uses.
