Im a BT customer and I was on fibre 1 (FTTC) with calls and paying £59.49 per month. Im now on Halo 1 (which I didnt ask for) and now paying £62.49.

Now I have been a customer for some years but through a mixture of concern about losing the reliability of connection I have enjoyed and just not getting off my ass to finding a better deal. Because something else always comes up. I have just ignored this. But now Im feeling like it is an extraordinary amount of money for fibre.

May I ask what others are paying for a similar deal as me.

Thanks in advance.

After the usual haggling and "threatening" to move to Vodaphone ( as if I would! ) I got Fibre 2 - FTTC - 74 meg currently, for £ 24.99/ month. I do not know how this compares with "Halo 1 " but I am pretty happy with BT.

Just looked at my bill from a few days ago and FTTC (get 80 down / 20 up but there no name for the service on the bill) is £32.16 and unlimited calls is £7.39.

It says the broadband package is discounted by £8 so that makes the "list" price around £48/mth, so a bit odd that you were paying £60.

Having said that, I recall seeing my elderly next door neighbours bill a few years and it was mid £60's. When I put his address into the BT website the deals it offered were about the same price. Using my address the prices were much lower.

When BT suddenly wanted £20 for BTsport I binned it off. I only watched Moto GP and WRC and felt it was just too much money for relatively little viewing time.

I now pay about £37pm for 150mb fibre to my home. The landline isn't connected to a phone, but even so, thats the smallest amount I am paying to BT in over a decade.

Just got to get the retards at Sky down from the £45 they want each month. I know I could use a cheaper alternative, but the Sky stuff is just more convenient. Well apart from the Sky Q o/s which is terrible.

Just live chat them in the morning and ask them if you are still in contact and the end date.

They don't seem to write that anywhere. If you are out of contract this time tomorrow you will be sorted.

I have the same broadband and a similar cost, but I also have 3 x 20GB SIMS as well (and i pay for line rental up front.).
