It doesn't matter who the new manager is, if the club is going to continue to hang on to deadwood and buy prospects that the manager doesn't want.

If you get a manager in you have to back his requirements and decisions 100%.
I'm not sure I agree. Utd did that and look where that got them.
Well in UTDs case they supported a manager who cut out the cancer of CR7 from the dressing room and almost instantly transformed the mood (and results) of the club.
In Arsenal's case they backed a manager who cut out the cancer of Aubamayang and have gone from strength to strength.
We still have the likes of Lo Celso and N'Dombele on the books. We've got players in our first 11 that Poch signed.
All the time we have an ownership that refuses to cut losses, and signs prospects regardless of the managers or director of footballs intentions we're going to have a problem.
But in Utd's case they went from Moyes, to LVG, to Mourinho, to Ole, to Ralf and spent hundreds of millions in the process of backing each one.

I think the aftermath of the Ferguson era hung over that club for a long time. Not a problem Spurs have.

We're still suffering the aftermath of the Billy Nick era.

Being sacked by Bayern after falling out with the club over transfers and losing some of the dressing room who didn't agree with his tactics.

Sounds vaguely familiar.... scratchchin

The Bayern hierarchy are also upset with him for his after-match rant.

I reckon Levy might have noted his predilection for that as well.

Tactically quite clever and plays on the front foot though.

No one with any ability is going to take the Spurs job, other than purely for the money.

Like MPs, anyone who actually wants to be Spurs Manager should be considered unsuitable for the position.

He's done well to guide Bayern to second place in a one horse race of a league. He'd be perfect for you guys. biggrin

I'd say yes, but make an offer based on 'performance' so 50% roughly

I would take the position to complain about the sausage rolls, and the wider problem about the motivation to supply quality pork?

So - are we an hour closer to Conte being sacked? I can't believe he is going to see out the rest of the season.

Nah, I reckon he has already gone (he’s still in Italy). I suspect there are negotiations ongoing regarding his pay off and bonus.

Conte gone Stellini taking over for the rest of the season with Mason as assistant. So maybe Conte and Stellini have parted ways as well

Finally.

At least Levy is learning too. Didn't he sack Poch on the very last day of the international break?

Feels quite unusual for Conte's backroom staff to be remaining in place, although I suppose the results under Stellini can't be argued with.
