Apparently 4 players gone down with dodgy guts yesterday, Kulu was just ok to make the bench

Lasagnagate anyone?
That's a coincidence. 272BHP said some of his party were ill after being in hospitality the other night. scratchchin

Agreed. Could do a lot worse as a Hugo replacement. Helps that he's about 7"2....

I have heard of some other fans who were also ill - we weren't the only ones.

Nah there is a nasty bug going round which causes vomiting and\or diarreah , I've had it, everyone in my family has had it and at least 50% of my friends circle have had it. Much more likely to be that than a repeat of lasagne-gate.

My thoughts too, a backup for Lloris is surely on the cards, though he has been fantastic especially against Arsenal.

I'm a big fan of him. That save from Sonny was top shelf.

Apparently we are lifting a skirt towards Sam Johnstone at West Brom.

For those who just got back, what's all this I hear about Spurs fans booing the anthem?

I didn't hear it myself but am pretty disgusted by that behaviour personally. I thought Spurs were above that sort of classless nonsense.

Confused here, what anthem?

The Liverpool fans booed both the Anthrm and Prince William.

Still, William, Villa...... understandable.

Cool. Would be great if Newcastle and Everton - who we had really close games with recently - came to our aid

Without wishing to tempt fate, I'm confident we will win at Norwich.

So anything less than a win away at Newcastle, will see us 4th.

Should Arsenal win tonight, the next key match is Thursday, Everton at Palace. Anything less than an Everton win will mean they cannot afford to lose to Arsenal on the final day (without relying on other club's performing worse than them).

So should Arsenal win tonight and Everton win on Thursday, 4th place is the Gooners, as I can't see Everton putting up much fight on the final day is already safe.

We visibly looked done in for the last 30mins, not surprising really. Now and again it's good to see a result ground out, we'd have lost that game a year ago. Looks like Emerson could be doubtful for next week, still we have replacements...........oh wait a minute
We really are down to the bones now. One positive ... Sessegnon has had a run and taken his chance. He looks well worth keeping now. Not sure about any of the other wingbacks, though Doherty and even Emerson have actually improved a lot under Conte.
Really? I think he looks miles off the quality required for a team with top 4 aspirations. Certainly shouldn't be anywhere near the starting 11. Put it this way, Kulusevski is a year older but Sess had already made 71 appearances before Dejan even made his debut. There was a lot of early promise at Fulham but he hasn't really developed at the same rate. I don't think the Spurs 1st team in the Prem is the place to be still learning your trade. Another year out on loan to another Prem team required.

I thought he lacked significant confidence yesterday, yet to watch the match on TV but e ery pass seemed to be backwards or the safest option, I came away disappointed with his performance although the fan vote on twitter had him as man of the match which confused me.

Fair challenge. To me, he has improved a lot and has potential to become a very good, if not quite world class wingback. I guess the problem is that we're not very strong on the other flank either (even with an in-form Doherty) and you can't play the system at the level we aspire to with both flanks being below world class.

I agree, I think all our wing backs/full backs are poor to average. Which is an issue when you play a wing back formation! Look at the rest of the players in their respective positions (excluding Kane/Son because they are world class) Kulu, Romero, Bentancur, Hojbjerg - even Moura & Bergwein; all our backs are far inferior; Royal, Doherty, Reggie, Sess, Tanganga.

Whereas other squads have Alonso, Chillwell, James, Azpilicueta, Robertson, TAA, Tsimikas, Walker, Cancelo etc.

Yep I think it's our one remaining area of real weakness. Not saying all the other players in the other areas are world class apart from Kane, Son and Romero, but they are probably good enough which makes it even more obvious that our wingbacks are pretty poor.

Considering Conte likes the wingback system, it's a pretty big deal that they are rubbish. It should be our absolute first priority over summer to improve both wingback positions with better players.
