Does he have a choice about staying at Barca ?I'm always weary of players who only want to go to clubs in the CL (but I understand why) and whether they will give everything if they have to go to one who isn't. Sounds like that's the situation with de Jong but the only difference is ten Hag who knows him and could convince him of the project ahead. I just hope we don't have to offer him a st tonne of money to come as we've learnt from the past, it doesn't work.
A midfield of de Jong, Neves and Bruno is mustard though.

I still yet to be convinced that a player would prefer to play for say AEK athens because they are in the champs league rather than United.A midfield of de Jong, Neves and Bruno is mustard though.
I would also argue that any player that vain I do not want playing for United.

That’s my thoughts. As good as de Jong is, I’d rather have a good player who’s willing to fight to get us back in to the champions league than one who feels “forced” in to coming to us.I would also argue that any player that vain I do not want playing for United.

Does he have a choice about staying at Barca ?But more importantly, could someone please say something reassuring to me about City winning the league so that Liverpool cant win the quadruple? It's becoming a bit of a concern for me.

Sorry if I'm a bit late to the game with both of my points but there was interesting stuff about club finances in the documentary about the rise and fall of the superleague the other night.

City will win the league and Liverpool won’t win the quadruple .But more importantly, could someone please say something reassuring to me about City winning the league so that Liverpool cant win the quadruple? It's becoming a bit of a concern for me.
(Feel any better ?)

City for the league, a win this weekend at West Ham pretty much seals it.
Real for the CL
They’re going to end up with just the stty cup, although I wouldn’t mind winning it.

Why do you think he’s being forced? He might be forced out of Barca, but will be able to choose a club to join I’d have thought. unident said:

Sometimes he plays decent, sometimes he's struggling a bit. He's playing in a slithly diff. role as he did at Ajax as well, more forward.
I think Ten Hag will try to take Lisandro Martinez with him to United; 24, Argentine International. Player of the year this season at Ajax.

He’s not exactly pulling up trees at Barca having done a bit of reading. He can’t displace an ageing busquets and it’s the press over there that are trying to move him on…he is getting similar stick to Maguire from the Barca fans.
Plenty of players in the top two who weren’t pulling up trees when they signed for those two, but a bit of coaching, some focus and maybe a bit of doping has got them right at the top of their games. Hopefully Ten Hag can do the same, obviously without the doping of course. G-wiz said:
We have a goal difference of +1.
Which is technically positive.
There’s nothing technical about it, it is positive, but it’s still crap. I c at believe there’s another week and a half before this season ends and we can watch a proper rebuild happening. It feels like this season and the last have lasted a decade. Which is technically positive.
