Finally we are getting somewhere, congrats on being the first in the thread to admit it, after all this moaning and cries of conspiracy it’s fine to say Celtic had a little help at the weekend.

If I’m being honest I thought it was absolutely scandalous and the referee should be hung, drawn and quartered. How he didn’t notice the Motherwell first goal being offside is crazy.
You’re (unsurprisingly) misunderstanding what a soft penalty is. It’s still a penalty and I would have expected it to be given against us.

I don’t think any team in the league would expect to get it against The Rangers though.
Unless they are up by 4 just to let things "even out over the season.." etc.

Don’t worry I fully understoodsmile But what you need to understand is that when someone says soft it means it could have just as easily not been a penalty, it was nice to think we had finally got some common ground though.

Cantwell went down theatrically, screaming and holding the middle of his face. The best you can come up with is a still screenshot with an arm nowhere near the sore parts he was holding.

The video tells the story. Too many of these screenshots are taken to attempt to show something that didn't happen.

It was cheating pure and simple. He cheated to get a man sent off. It's good to see he has been called out for it by numerous people.
laughlaugh that’s not what you said though was it? Read it back very slowly and carefully. Scoopdydoo might have actually been onto something.

So that’s us moved from absolutely zero contact to he went down theatricallylaugh atleast keep your argument consistent.

I believe it was limmy that had the sketch “Don’t back doon, double doon.”

Yes Dalzo, read very slowly and very carefully.

I said there was zero contact with his face. I didn't say there was absolutely no contact.

My posts have never changed. I've always highlighted the theatrical element. Is going down like if he was punched by Tyson Fury not theatrical enough?

You're getting all personal again. It's not nice to make comments about people's intelligence. It looks worse when you've misread again.

The mental somersaults your doing here to get out of simply admitting you were wrong is spectacular.

Mental somersaults? My position has been rigid. Cantwell dived to cheat and get the player sent off. An opinion widely shared.

If Cantwell was hit on the jaw(which he wasn't) why did he go down clutching the middle of his face?

Are you seriously trying to say that arm poleaxed him? Call it what it was. Cheating.

‘The Bhoys’ is a nickname for the team, the extra H is a reference to the Irish history of the club.

‘The People’ isn’t a nickname and has far more sinister connotations of superiority and being beyond wrong doing. Please don’t confuse a nickname with a superiority complex.

Don’t worry though, teddy bear, we still have common ground over the soft penalty. The only difference is I can see soft decisions going both ways with every other team in the league. They only go one way for The Rangers.

Ahh so bhoys = innocent craic and “the people” = supremacist.
Do you actually believe this guff your writing?

Can you because I’m pretty sure your Lanarkshire referees association joke in your first post was from a batst mental conspiracy film.

Yes mental somersaults

Where was he hit? I mean the picture I posted was pretty conclusive.

Who’s the opinion shared by? You’ve posted up quotes from Ricky foster the head of motherwells coachinglaugh

Dermot Gallagher said it was a sending off, McFadden actually gave good insight to it aswell.

I put in the code but it looks like they’ve changed it from £27 off to £13 because everyone is using it laugh

I’ll wait till we have been pumped again and pick it up for buttons

I'm performing mental somersaults? You say that after avoiding a straightforward question and also totally misconstruing what Dermot Gallagher said.

The host said it was hash.

The Dermot said "This may well have been accumulation. He had a yellow card and committed another two or three fouls before this. The referee probably spoke to him and the next one he had to go."

He is assuming that the referee "probably" spoke to him and issued a final warning. He thinks it was an accumulation of fouls rather than that foul alone. He did not say that was a significant incident worthy of a sending off.

Foster is hardly alone in his opinion. Every time someone says something about Rangers you have to discredit and get personal.

A still picture is not conclusive of anything. We've had numerous stills if the past that make things look like something they were not. This is another example. He was not hit in the face.

What did I avoid? Why he held his face when he was hit in the jaw? Clutching at straws if your looking at hand positioning as your main argument after having moved it on from no contactlaugh You’ve ignored when I asked where was he hit?

Here’s the mental somersaults again, you’ve literally just posted him saying it was a sending off , he’s on a booking and whether he’s done another 2 or 3,the ref has deemed that his foul that he was sent off for was another bookable offence so it’s a fully justified sending off either way you try and spin it. I don’t know why your tying yourself up in knots or what your even trying to prove here.

I was pointing out since the only quotes you’ve used from him is that he’s the Motherwell head of coaching, hardly an impartial source to pull from. I’ve not discredited him or personally attacked him. I’m laughing at your pathetic attempt to use impartial comments as though it’s something to go on while I’ve posted probably as impartial as you could get considering both are Celtic supporters and both thought it was a sending off. I’ve even said myself i thought it was soft

The picture isn’t conclusive, the guys arm is in his jaw laugh it’s not some photoshop or TikTok with the billy boys dubbed over it again. It would be great if you could clarify where he was hitsmile

You are ok watching Rangers players pretend they have been poleaxed and in serious distress to get players sent off?

Clutching at straws where he was holding? . biglaugh Aye, it's completely normal to hold a different part of the body to the sore bit. biglaugh

You said Dermot said the incident was a sending off. He didn't say that at all.

They said it was harsh and could only justify the sending off as "MAY WELL" have been an accumulation of fouls, and the player "PROBABLY" being told it was his last warning. He's assuming things to justify the decision.

Cantwell has went down like he was poleaxed and it looked like a serious incident. The referee has sent him off on the basis of that incident.

Strange we have gone from an elbow to the face (which is usually always a yellow or red) to hiding behind an accumulation of fouls.

Even a plenty of Rangers fans admit Cantwell made a huge meal of it.

He clear as day cheated to get a player sent off. Between that and the VAR lines being positioned wrongly on a VAR offside decision it's yet another game Rangers won with huge controversy. It's nearly every week.

Anyways, this has gone on way too long. I'll ignore the next installment.

The SFA considering using specialist for VAR.

They need people in the control room that can operate the equipment in an efficient manner and cut out a lot of the mistakes

He was hit in the jaw, it was soft but it was silly for the Motherwell player to throw his hand up and gave the ref a decision considering he had already been booked, nothing more.
Yes clutching at straws as as your forensically examining hand positions on someone’s face to try and win an argument laugh

Only the extremely stubborn or hard of thinking couldnt deduce that he’s saying it’s a sending off, if you read my last post again properly it explains that. There’s not a soul on earth who didn’t think it was harsh, they are giving thier opinion on why it may have been given from a ref’s perspective. The match report on sky says he was Sent of for reckless conduct regardless.

Strange accusations to make a I’ve not hid behind an accumulation of fouls, I said whether it was either or he was still off as it was a second bookable offence, it’s a poor attempt at deflecting and trying to get even because you changed your story.

Still not answered where his arm hit him?
Celtic had 1 soft penalty and an absolutely atrocious sending off help them when they were 1-0 down so let’s not kid ourselves on here that it’s just rangers getting decisions, you’ve went out on the attack because it’s been pointed out and makes the whole corrupt refereeing conspiracy look as stupid as it is

SFA considering using specialist VAR operators. Hopefully they mic them up as they are in rugby so there is accountability and no conspiracies over what they are seeing and discussing. And hopefully they'll be taught how to draw parallel lines from the correct body parts.
