Fantasy Premier League 22/23 is GO!! ** SPOILERS**

I've been playing this game for years, and generally done OK by the end of the season. However, I have never, ever had a good first gameweek! So my theory for this year is that it doesn't matter how much time I spend researching and tinkering, there is a high chance that I will still have a completely rubbish start, no matter how good my team looks on paper so I'm not even going to log on until August 4th

First week is the hardest as you never know if new signings will play, people missing fitness, new managers etc etc.

I set my team up on day one and I've just stuck with it up to yet. However I do usually panic a bit nearer the time and I usually end up changing it!

You and me both, mate.

Every time this thread is updated & it shows up in My Stuff, I come on here and read the comments. Then, usually have a play with my team for an hour and finally, leave it as it was.

I'll be doing the same tomorrow. And the next day. And the day after that.

And then on Christmas Eve (aka the day before Gameweek 1), I'll rip all my plans up, change half a dozen players over and then watch in horror as my dumped players score hat tricks, keep clean sheets & earn big bonuses while my new team do the opposite.

At least the additional wildcard this season will be handy if you need to completely change your team a few times.

Same here, I’ve changed my team about 5 times already, waiting to see what transfers happen between now and the start of the season as it could all change again!

Made a huge change to get Salah, Son, Haaland and Trent in.

And I’ve swapped Haaland for Kane.

I was thinking Kane for week 1 then sub in Haaland in week 2 when Spurs have Chelsea and City have Bournemouth

I like that. Not a million miles from my current draft, but I just can't ween myself off of Kane + Son, and Son's price jump this year is a real challenge to accommodate.

I really like Dan's team as well. I'm swerving Kane and Son up to yet, however I do wonder if that approach will bite me on the backside though.

The only bit i'm not convinced with so far is Diaz - and i'm a Liverpool fan - just not sure yet how the team is going to pan out & have some minutes concerns for him.

I have chopped changed chopped again, and I am still no where near a team. As 48k said, Son’s increase in price has made it tricky. Lots of people putting Harland in, I am pretty he’s going to be devastating

I couldn’t bring myself to transfer out Darwin Nunez for Jesus so I’ve gone for them both, along with Haaland.

Strong front line, Salah and the two highest scoring defenders last year. Impressive.

Back in for this year. Really need to tweak my team. Looking at some of these they are proper impressive.
