Premier League 22-23 - who will be relegated?

I’m an Everton season ticket holder and this season, currently, we do look like going down. I was amazed we survived last season but after selling our best player in Richarlison this season was always going to be a big struggle. We aren’t down yet and only a few points from getting out of the bottom 3, but something must change and quick. We are in total free fall. After seeing us survive on the last day Vs Wimbledon, then Coventry I really thought it will never happen again. Dreading the future of the club currently.
Villa fan here, so I know your pain from our experience of going into The Championship in 2016. You can feel it slipping away from you game after game, and I guess you've got the bigger pressure of the 'never been relegated' tag hanging over you. For me your board should sack Lampard now, with half a season to go for someone to come in and change it. However I doubt they can actually afford to do that now though, as he'd want his and his backroom team's contracts to be paid up in full.
I'm really disappointed that we have sold Danny Ings, our loss is very much West Ham's gain. My prediction is that he will start banging them in, turning things around for West Ham, which of course doesn't bode well for Everton.
On the positive side, if you do get relegated it is not the end of the world. You get lots of televised Friday night games, it's a really competitive league and winning a few games makes for some happy fans again. I found it quite a cathartic experience, you don't stop loving your club, it proves it is not the be all and end all and you would more than likely bounce straight back.

As an Everton fan I said earlier in the thread that we wouldn't go down. I'm now of the opinion we're going down, we've done nothing to address any of our issues and we've just accepted our fate. If we went down kicking and screaming and making efforts to win games I wouldn't be so disappointed as I am at the moment.
There are massive issues within the club, we don't seem to have any sense of direction, we've a board that have absolved themselves of any blame for our situation and a chairman that blames the fans. Its not even clear who actually owns the club with Usmanov having sat in for interviews with potential managers. It's an utter shambles, the sooner we have a clear out from the chairman down the better.

What I will say though is that some of the best footballing days I've had is following Leicester in the Championship, it's a fantastic league.
LCFC pick up a much needed point on Saturday, although we were outplayed. 1 signing done, another close, and hopefully a third to come. Looks like we've had the investment we needed but the manager is staying on, we're either just gonna survive or just go down, not sure which.

Slight thread resurrection, given that the transfer window has closed, and there's been a few managerial changes.
Will Everton turn things around under Sean Dyche, ditto Wolves under Lopetegui? Both good managers, you'd think.
Then there's Nathan ('been gone too long') Jones at Southampton. Mixed results since he arrived, but they spent the second highest amount in the window. Will Jones plus ££££'s be enough to save the Saints?
Bournemouth were fourth highest spenders (which surprised me), whilst Everton spent nowt and sold Anthony Gordon.
Promising signs for Forest, Wolves and Villa, but Leeds and Leicester seem unable to climb the table very much.
As of now, with Everton 0-0 against Arsenal at half time, I'll predict Bournemouth, Everton and Wolves to be relegated.
Anyone changed their mind about their three for the drop?

Southampton, Bournemouth and sadly either my team (Leeds) or Forest. Tomorrow's game is huge...
I think Forest will be OK.....but, yes big game for both tomorrow. If it goes Forest's way, Leeds will have an even bigger match in two weeks time against Everton.
That could be a winner stays up match come end of season.
The Hammers have a shocking run of tough games coming up. Could well find themselves in the bottom three again with just 7-8 games to go. Moyes let the team sleep walk into this problem and I am not sure has the nous to get them out of it. He hasnt done anything the last 2 years to phase the development of the team just panic bought last summer.
Forest will stay up.
Bournemouth, Southampton and Leeds.
A win for us yesterday means we probably need 5 more to stay up, the new signings will hopefully keep us up.
Everton will stay up purely because of Dyche.
WHU will just have slightly too much, the final game of the season vs. us could be vital.

I think WHU and Everton will just survive largely because of the experience of their coaches in this situation.
As I said earlier, the upcoming Leeds v Everton match in a couple of weeks will be a winner stays up match imho.
So, results at the weekend have tightened things up down at the bottom again, and were back to 5, maybe 6 teams back in the mix.
Wolves, Everton, West Ham and Leeds are all pretty close in GD, whereas Bournemouth and Southampton both are another 10 goals worse off than those teams, so both of those really need points to stay out of trouble, and they both did that at the weekend.
Leeds have another big match this coming weekend against Saints, and I think if they loose that, they could be as good as gone. Its pretty much a must win for both sides.

The predicted West Ham stutter continues, Moyes putting out the same negative team and tactics. Then has the front to say after the game that the players need to stand up and be counted...well how about you doing that Moyes, rather than sticking the same old negative dross out hoping for a draw with the same players that are clearly way past their best. I think he has lost half the dressing room and is sinking fast, most of the team probably want to follow Rice out the door come the summer.

Palace are getting drawn into it.
You're not wrong. 3 tough games (Man City, Brighton, Arsenal) next, could easily be very near the zone after those...If we (Everton) don't win today we are deep in the brown stuff. With our striking problems (hopefully resolved by DCL returning soon?) we could be a decent bet for rock bottom
