But was it a decent enough 2nd half to save SL?

2 week International break. I feel a bit sick suggesting a managerial change after 4 games into a season and it's great we finally scored a goal - but it might be the right time for a change given our overall form since lockdown.

havent seen the other games + there was the disastrous end to last season but i'd keep him a little while longer. and not pay the players

Sad for Lamouchi as I feel the players let him down, but tactically don't think he was quite up to the challenges of the Championship.
At least with Hughton he has good Championship experience with results. Not sure we are going to get the flowing attacking football we all crave though, but a few wins would be nice at least.

He's only lasted a season or so at the majority of clubs he's managed but his last stint at Brighton was 5 years. I think he's a decent appointment and no doubt he'll be backed in the transfer market if we start to climb the table.

Hope SL isn't out of a job for too long. I enjoyed following Forest for the majority of his time as manager.

I see Jose Anigo, our head of recruitment has been arrested in Marseille for links with a criminal gang involved in football transfers.
That may explain some of our baffling acquisitions!

Hughton is a decent appointment, knows the league and has experience in getting promoted. Big Sam would have been the dream but he'll end up at somewhere like Fulham once their manager gets sacked halfway through the season.

Yes, quite pleased with Hughton, actually prefer him to big Sam.

Big Sam is a decent manager but a ghastly miserable human being, if his stint on Talksport is anything to go by. Even made jock miserablist Alan Brazil look cheerful by comparison.

I quite like Chris Hughton. I did also like Lamouchi (who achieved good results for much of last season). I wonder if there is a lack of stability at the club behind the scenes, not sure I'd want to work for Marinakis, he seems like the Greek Don Corleone.

Forest have had real long term playing issues though, namely an inability to park the bus when leading in a game (common Championship issue), a habit of losing against inferior teams (like Doncaster), and a inability to see either games or seasons out, we have lost god knows how many games due to goals scored after the 90th minute and numerous playoff positions have been squandered in the last few games of the season.

Think Knockaert is a good addition for Forest, I have long maintained the only real formula for getting out of the Championship is to hire two Premier standard strikers and keep them fit.

Knockaert has proven track record of getting promoted and has worked with Hughton before,

Hopefully the fight back starts today.

Fantastic player, sadly was never good enough for the Prem but he's quality in the Championship, just lacks that extra bit of pace needed to make the step up.

Great to be above Derby ...

Makes a nice change for an injury time goal to actually be one we score...
