Off to the Tottenham Stadium tomorrow. Can't be too optimistic given our awful away form, but slight glimmer is that Spurs aren't exactly in top form at present.
I'm hoping Cooper changes the midfield a little. As much as Jack was great for us last season, that was as an emergency left wing back, and not as a CDM. I just don't think the Colback/Shelvey/Freuler midfield has been great. 2 points from 6? I can't see Cooper making more than 1 change for the sake of continuity, but I'd would swap Jack for Mangala or Danilo. Obviously I don't see what goes on during training but that's what I would like to see! I doubt Yates is ready for the full 90 mins, otherwise he'd be in the 11.
I still don't understand the perseverance with Wood, and I'd much prefer to see Surridge start up top. However it wouldn't surprise me if we don't play either and have Bren and MGW up front, with another midfielder (Scarpa or Danilo) like we did v City.

If we do play Wood from the start, then we need to push the wing backs up and get crosses in, no point having him and then trying to play slow through the middle - its not his game. This is where Freuler has been poor, he is great at breaking play up and positional stuff, but he is supposed to be the transition to attacking play, and too often he goes back or sideways.
Actually I sort of fancy us for a draw here.

Hope you are right, but with Bournemouth winning, I can see us getting dragged back into the mireIf we do play Wood from the start, then we need to push the wing backs up and get crosses in, no point having him and then trying to play slow through the middle - its not his game. Not sure on some of SC selections, Linguard from the off was a surprise but again he failed to make any impact (same old story) he must have his reasons for the boys from Brazil not featuring but I can't figure why. SC does have his favourites but Freuler needs a spell on the bench. We are going to get sucked down and see us bottom three by Easter. I think Everton will escape as SD is doing a job. Three to go down from Southampton, Bournemouth, Leeds, Leicester and us.

Agree with your thoughts. Jlingz was a surprise yesterday and I thought he didn't do much. Would have preferred Surridge, and I really can't understand why SC continues to leave him out. Maybe Wood's injury will get Surridge back in the team. Also, we really need our other injured players back. Niakhate and Felipe could be awesome. Niakhate was on the bench yesterday, so hopefully he'll be starting again soon.
Tottenham Stadium was impressive, but not much atmosphere.
No Wood and no Johnson for tonight.
I say start with Surridge and get on with it, not sure Awonyi is fit anyway.
After seeing what happened to Viera, Copper must surely realise that the Greek Gods could lose patience too.
Need a point. Need a performance for sure, have to get some confidence back in the team.

will be interesting to see them without johnson - he's no doubt brilliant but at the same time we have 3 goals away from home all season so a change may be interestingI say start with Surridge and get on with it, not sure Awonyi is fit anyway.
