News reaching us down in Somerset that Chris Cohen's playing career may be coming to an end.
If so, that is such a shame. I think almost every Yeovil fan would have Chris in their all time best XI - I certainly would and I've been following them since 1972. Class player, remember not believing we were going to buy him after he'd been at West Ham and come to us on loan. Wand of a left foot and not a bad bone in his body...
Talk of him getting a job in the Forest academy, hope whatever he chooses, he is fulfilled. Still only about 30 now, I think.
One quick story. When my lads and I went around the football grounds last April, we had arranged to meet Chris at the Nigel Doughty Academy to collect some signed stuff to auction. At the last minute, the game was switched to Alfreton so we went there and accidentally missed Chris.
True to his word, he sent a signed football and even threw in a signed shirt too. Top, top bloke, and we wish him well for the future.

I think his career being over was looking likely. Today, he was joint manager in an U23s game. I think he’d be excellent in management. Longest serving player at the City Ground - he’s clearly happy at the club.
As said by many, he is a true gentleman. I’ve met him several times and he’s a great bloke.

In 2013, I wrote a book about Yeovil's first 10 years in the Football League and he was voted in the best XI players of that time. We asked him to come down and be presented on the pitch along with the other ten, and despite having the second furthest to travel, he made the trip. Before he returned home, I asked him for a quick pic and he was more than happy.
Excuse the pic.

Last night was a disgrace, I don't think I've ever seen such a poor game at the CG. Michael Mancienne had a shocker, Danny Fox was terrible. In the second half nobody looked bothered or interested.
I'd like to be a fly on the wall at the training ground this morning. I'll bet the squad are getting a round of fks from Karanaka.

Watford fan here.
Pantillimon hasn't had a sniff of match day action for years. Can't really judge him.
Ben Watson - not a fan's favourite. Works hard, but produces little of note. Took a lot of set pieces, badly. Rarely created anything. In open play he was a bit of a thug, frequently booked for mindless challenges. Fans got fed up that he always passed backwards. Too slow for the PL.
Strangely was made captain for this last game (FA cup away to Southampton)
Adlene Guediora - not played for us for a few years. Again, worked hard. A real fans' favourite, but not good enough for the PL. Will always be remembered for this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DVVr0XsCIng

Not looking good is it chaps.
Can't buy a win at the moment.
What do we think, new man takes time to settle, too many changes ? Bunch of mercs who don't want to fight for a win ?
I just can't tell what the heart of the issue is, but we have been this way for a while now, there is something there I can't put my finger on. But I know we can only change it when we give a manager at least three windows to clear out the crap and make it "their" team
My worry is with these results, he will be getting the boot before Easter.

For me it's about Karanka chopping & changing things too much along with bringing in 9 players, 7 of which are loan signings. This must have a negative effect on the other lads who have been there for a while. We all know that loan signings will potentially only play to prove a point but this does not benefit the club what so ever as we need players willing to wear this shirt with pride & go out there & give 100% in every single game.
