A deserved 3 points, even if we did make hard work of it.
Some good stuff against a typical Pulis side that came to spoil - time wasting with less than 20 minutes on the clock. Pitiful.
We still need to sharpen up in front of goal and the win does little to mask that.
And if Sofiane 'Charles Charlie Charles' Boufal doesn't start next week, someone needs to book a taxi for Mauricio.

It was dreadful. I watched the Everton game just afterwards (made use of my NOW TV voucher!) and in the second half we played just like they did in the first; Aimless, nobody had a clue what to do or where to go next. It was just a case of knocking it around each other. We had a bit more purpose in the first half, but seriously have to learn how to kill a game off again. Brighton certainly didn't deserve to lose, so a point was probably fair. They were really well organised, very fluid, every man knew his job. If they play like that all the time then they'll be safe this season, though I can't help but think they need a better striker.
I genuinely feel we'll be lucky to get out of the bottom half later in the season. In many ways, you think "As long as we're in the Prem, surely we should be happy? Only a few years back we were in L1!" But then, we've got some seriously decent players, decent infrastructure and all the ingredients needed to be successful. We should be a comfortable top half team, and the way we're playing, I'm not sure we are. We've had plenty of easier games so far too, what happens when we're up against City or Chelsea?!
And Forster? Jesus, give the guy a rest and get the focus off him! He's giving away a goal a game.

Was working at the Saints training ground at Staplewood last night watching them v Fulham. Quite surprised that they didn't turn over Fulham considering the back seven were all first team players - McCarthy - Pied, Stephens, Bednarek, Targett - Ward-Prowse, Hojbjerg. Add in McQueen and Hesketh and that's a strong team. Ended 4-3 to the Cottagers.
Really impressive facilities there mind. £40 million spent has produced a smart state-of-the-art centre with 11 pitches, 7 of which are full size. Looking forward to going down there again soon.

Fulham are a good team, they're academy setup is essentialy Saints setup of old with Malcolm elias, Huw Jennings and Steve Wigley running things.Really impressive facilities there mind. £40 million spent has produced a smart state-of-the-art centre with 11 pitches, 7 of which are full size. Might seem like overkiil (especially with the dross they're serving up at the moment), but there is some method to the madness.
Pitch 1 is an exact replica of the playing surface at St Marys (1st team only).
Pitch 2 is similar to Pitch 1 and includes a goalkeeping area (1st team only).
There's a plastic pitch for training when the weather is poor.
There are two pitches for use by the U18s and U21s which have stands - this enables the kids to get used to matchdays.
There are a number of other pitches, varying in size, used by the U7s upwards.
The entire facility is designed such that players progress from entry, through the pitches and other facilities, as they progress through the levels.

Not being funny but why would you need SEVEN full size pitches - ?
I suppose if all of the club's teams are based there, they need them. One is only used for bigger matches, one is inside a giant dome, the 4G ones can be easily split into two or three smaller pitches for the young age groups, first team probably train on one, plus they could hire the 4G ones out to local community clubs to regain some of the cost... soon mounts up. I bet there's clubs with far more than that too. All very good, but, what’s the problem with the 1st teams performance? The manager? His team choice seems a bit suspect? What’s the point in playing Long at all? But, then to play him upfront alone?
Is Forster costing us each game?
VVD needs to be sold during the next transfer window, they should have sold him during the summer I think?
But, I’m only an armchair supporter
