A much needed 3 points but Jeez, how bad were Everton ? I'm not kidding myself that Saints have turned a corner - rarely have I seen a visiting team of such [on paper] high quality players collectively perform so badly. They really were an utter shambles.
And what has become of Schneiderlin ? Such a shame to see him a shadow of his former self.
For Saints, thought Hojberg and Hoedt were outstanding today, and there were much better performances from Tadic and Boufal. Can't recall either Cedric or Bertrand making a mistake and was good to see both bombing forward. Really pleased for Austin to bag a couple and hope that'll boost his confidence.
Perhaps a pity the manager decided to change the shape of the side by subbing attackers and replacing them with defensive players but, when the final whistle was blown, no harm done.
Onwards to the Etihad and no doubt back to Earth with a bump !

Reasonable performance?
I think they can take a lot out of thatCity absolutely dominated but a epic defensive effort and some great saves by Fraser kept us in it.
i liked the managers choices and glad that tadic was dropped in this formation
Moment of genius by Boufal to set up the goal , i still think i'd play him over Redmond
frustrating that maybe with Austin on for those first few chances (Maya and Hoedt) he might have slotted them in
Should have been one point for both teams but no denying that the Sterling goal was stunning and cant begrudge a young English player playing so well.
VVD still doesn't look back to his former self
Incredibly lacklustre showing.
Leicester just looked so hungry to win the ball and to fight for every opportunity.
We still look dangerous when going forward but just missing that final 10%
Not sure what this all means for the club long term but they don't look right at the moment.
VVD needs to go as i don't think his head is in it and he looks sheepish compared to pre-injury.
But really really hard when our top scorer has 5 goals!
i also think that the fans are pretty st to FF, he's been good again this season and certainly stopping lots of chances going in but the crowd just wont get behind him! (3rd highest saves in PL)

At least the bad smell lingering around the place might dissipate now.
Honestly, I was worried that we'd regret not cashing in last summer, as he's been bang average since and I thought his value might drop markedly. Sure, he was probably just having a a strop, but even so, other clubs might be less receptive to someone who acts like a complete when they don't get their own way.
That said, this is Liverpool. Common sense goes out the window, and they'd probably have splashed the cash anyway.
Personally, we'll do well to pull away from the bottom three with the current setup. I genuinely don't think this manager knows what he's doing, and the gambles the board has made have definitely backfired this season. VvD finally fking off doesn't change the fact that of our starting 11 against Spurs, only PEH and Targett actually played like it mattered (possibly Boufal in patches). The rest were passengers, and they certainly weren't playing for the manager.

Once we’ve given Celtic their 10%, I hope we keep spending until it’s all gone, starting with the manager. Is ‘Koeman’ still a swear word?
2 points.1. Who are you realistically going to tempt to join even if you offered the whole £75m?
2. By accepting £75m every potential club you approach will be wanting a large chunk of that for even the modest of talent.
