Just really happy we can go into the end of the season not worrying about relegation. They played well and played as a team. Anything above where they are now would be great.

Good result but Norwich looked very st, which flattered. Arsenal next Thursday will be a truer test IMO.

Is it me or does JWP look a lot leaner than I recall? He played fairly well.

Great shift today by everyone - very pleased with that performance.

One question, though - why can't we play like that at home ?

Why is it even when we are 13 points above the relegation zone but only 5 points off 7th place I still look at the table from the bottom up and do the sums for the remaining games... "Bournemouth could get a further 21 points putting them on 48pts, so we aren't safe yet..." ?

Still looking down rather than up. Such a shame we could not do a job on Arsenal but seem to be better away from home. Ralph needs to sort the home form for next season

Having Ings on fire has helped massively. If he was not playing then I dread to think how bad it could be. Still, another season in the Premiership seems very likely now.

Does anyone else remember sitting at the Dell with the old portable radios working out if we’d stayed up or not judging by the other results coming in? That was my introduction to supporting Saints laugh

Can't say I ever remember sitting at The Dell, even when we moved from the Lower East Stand to the Archer's bike shed for the last few seasons !

Certainly remember the constant dodging of relegation, though - 10,000 of us at Wimbledon, that away win at Bolton, Pahars goals against Everton - just a few that spring to mind.

Come on lads, time to grow a pair biggrin. We were safe before the lockdown. I know not mathematically but it would of meant us losing all of our games and 3 of the bottom 5 going on European qualification form. Since the restart how many games have the bottom 5 won ? I think I am right in saying it is none !! The whole league below 8th is garbage but the bottom 5 are real cr@p.
There will be the odd strange result to come but we are well out of it. Especially with Wet Spam playing Villa on the last day laugh
Lets just hope the club back our manager with some decent players in the summer break and we can keep hold of Ings !!

Don't go to many games, but my introduction was listening to Radio Solent back as a teenager in the 90's waiting anxiously for updates from other games. Either that or refreshing teletext biglaugh

Brilliant performance and well deserved 3 points!

Do we now keep Che Adams?

For a team whose home performances have been largely forgettable this season, that was a bit unexpected.

Under the cosh for large periods, but stalwart defending from all.

A very welcome and hard earned 3 points.

And a special mention to Che Adams - delighted to see him break the duck, and in some style too thumbup

What I liked was the team ethic and the passion to make this result happen. Felt like we really wanted the result and the 3 points and despite Man City having a few chances, we also created a number of quality chances and mainly restricted Man City to possession football

Such a shame there were few in the stadium to see the game but how great that so many people saw it on the TV

Certainly caught me off guard as well as the keeper!

Although I was the only Saints fan in the bar, I enjoyed the company of many others pleased to see Man City beaten.
