Said it before but if you're going to implement VAR in the prem, it needs to done down to league 2 as well. I know theres a massive cost but you wouldn't get things like the West Brom goal or that lad who threw himself to the floor like he'd been shot at Millwall earlier in the season.

Still, look on the bright side - we're flying at the minute and looking at the fixtures for December, the only one I can see being a potential problem is Fulham. 15 points from 18 I'd be well happy with.

I with you on that one! 15 out of 18 would be great. We need to take Huddersfield to the cleaners on Saturday. I'm excited about New Years day match already...

It's their cup final so imagine it being a tough one.

First half was a tough one, with Town probably having the better of it.

Stepped up in the second half though. Alioskis goal lick

Back to the top of league again for now.

Huddersfield certainly had their chances but that's a great result for us; they were always going to be up for it so to come away with all the points was excellent!

I daresay WBA will beat Swansea tomorrow and return to the top but with Fulham losing this afternoon we've got an eight point gap over the team in third (which reduces to seven if Forest win their game in hand); obviously not that significant with more than half the season left but a welcome cushion nevertheless.

With our defensive reshuffling and a bit of luck behind Huddersfield, it could easily have been a 1-1 game. Anyway, this leaves us having conceded 10 goals in 20 matches and +20 goal diff. The stats really don't show how close most of our games have been. Fingers crossed the FA case against Casilla goes favourably. I guess the FA will want to "make a firm stand against racism" whatever the facts actually are, so not holding out much hope there.

Agreed.

They can ban him without actually proving anything so I can't see it going our way.

Wouldn't be surprised if they did something against Alioski for his celebration.

Seven wins out of seven and we've opened up an 11 point gap over 3rd place.

The position we are in now could redefine
'doing a Leeds'.

The anxiety has started already.

smile We said exactly the same after the match while drinking our flat Elland Road beer.... smile Not the greatest match, but still 35k crowd, despite weather and mental traffic. The counter attack was something else, Costa off his game again, Pablo looked shattered after 70 mins... BUT nil conceded, 2 goals and 3 points.. #MOT..

Awful performance. Ayling and Berradi put in storming performances but loose balls, crosses hitting the first defender or going into orbit... who cares though. Win games like that and good things will happen.

Onto Cardiff - another bogey team but predicting 3 points.

Long way to go yet but our current form and that gap to 3rd place is looking very promising! Only Leeds could mess this up laugh

Well WBA dropped points at Wigan last night so we're still top albeit only on goal difference!

I think we've ridden our luck at times in terms of goals conceded but to have let in only 10 in 21 games really is pretty impressive; don't think even the great Revie team matched that although they were obviously playing in the top division. The slight worry is Casilla has been important in keeping so many clean sheets and I fear a ban is likely to be heading his way over the claim of racial abuse at Charlton....

Potentially a tricky game against Cardiff on Saturday but hopefully we'll be able to keep the run going!

The racial abuse thing is total bks and it angers me that we're being dragged down yet again. Hopefully they'll drag the appeals process out until the end of the season if he's hit with a ban.

Great result for us with WBA last night, but Wigan should have won really.

It doesn't feel as spectacular, this season, but we're looking solid and able to fight for a result which is fantastic.

We don't want spectacular. Keeping clean sheets and grinding out wins when not playing great is what being promoted is all about.

The other great stat I've seen is. In more than half the games we've played, Kasilla has made more success passes than any opposition player.

He's been a massive difference this season.

I might have known all this talk about a rock solid defence and being able to grind out results would come back to haunt us!

3-0 up and apparently cruising today yet somehow we manage to ship 3 goals in 30 minutes and end-up drawing against a team that had even gone down to 10 men. A mate of mine who was there said, defensive frailty apart, it was actually the best we've played this season so it really does feel like a couple of points thrown away - let's hope for a positive response at Fulham next week....

First loss since October, along with one of the softest penalties you'll ever see.

Thought we got away with it ever so slightly against Preston last night; probably deserved the draw in the end but we were poor in the first half and on another day could easily have been at least 2 down at halftime. Hopefully we'll see an improvement against Birmingham and especially WBA but feels like we've ben wobbling a bit ever since we threw that 3-0 lead away at home to Cardiff; we certainly didn't look like candidates for automatic promotion in the first half last night....
